I demand you let me express my anti-Americanism on my Employer's Dime, otherwise it's Free Speech oppression.
I also demand my sponsor Nike not offer shoes that express Pro-Americanism, because Pro-Americanism is oppression, fuck Free Speech.

Nike Inc. NKE -0.74% is yanking a U.S.A.-themed sneaker featuring an early American flag after NFL star-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick told the company it shouldn’t sell a shoe with a symbol that he and others consider offensive, according to people familiar with the matter.

The sneaker giant created the Air Max 1 USA in celebration of the July Fourth holiday, and it was slated to go on sale this week. The heel of the shoe featured a U.S. flag with 13 white stars in a circle, a design created during the American Revolution and commonly referred to as the Betsy Ross flag.

After shipping the shoes to retailers, Nike asked for them to be returned without explaining why, the people said. The shoes aren’t available on Nike’s own apps and websites.

“Nike has chosen not to release the Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July as it featured the old version of the American flag,” a Nike spokeswoman said.

Their loss, someone else will capitalize on the opportunity.

I think today if some company were to go all pro America, no apologies, no catering to lefties, all American flag, god and freedom. They'd have a huge market share overnight if their product was good.

All those large companies who hire marketing sissies afraid to upset a single individual on the left, they can't compete in todays world.

Black rifle coffee company is a perfect example.

I wont even let anyone in my house anymore wearing Nike.

President Harris cancels 4th of July as a national holiday. Calls the former celebration of the nation’s founding a repulsive celebration of colonialist slavers.

President Buttachek cancels 4th of July as a national holiday. Says the birth of anything represents the co mingling of opposites, which the new woke nation detests...

What about the transgender colonialists? Don't they deserve their own day of affirmation and celebration over the heinous caucasian slave mongers?

But that hypocrite does not mind shilling for a company that uses present day slave labor in China and Vietnam to make its product.

Nike is a liberal company that employs wage slaves l(ike the rest of them) and gets more $ per sneaker by paying huge endorsements to famous athletes.

I wish a pox on all of them but the problem is Nike always fit me perfectly, darnit.

Try the New Balances that are USA made. They cost a bit more but are worth it.

Started to develop nerve damage in my foot. I wear only etny's now. It's a skateboard shoe that gives amazing, comfortable support. Not good for running, great for almost everything else.

I am hoping the pair I bought in February in Hanoi are knockoffs. That is the only Nike I will buy now- counterfeit.

Fortunately Nike iss on the moral high-ground here and say they no longer use child or slave labor.

I mean they do pay workers in Viet Nam in 2001 earned the equivalent of $73.94 per month in 2014 U.S. dollars.

They are only made in Vietnam because of slave labor wages and no environmental laws. Patting themselves on the back because they stopped using child labor after being exposed is of little consequence. Nike is a upscale product that would still be profitable if made in the US.

Well, it's official. Kaepernick hates America, it was never "Just about Police Brutality".

Now, what Federal and State Contracts with Nike can be cancelled? After all, he's an official spokesperson.

Just shows the mentally ill liberal scum he is, if we ran shit like in Africa he might be a slave or killed for his trash talk.

Especially considering they did so less than 20 years age; meanwhile slavery ended December 1865, 54 years ago. I realize some vestiges continued after that; but, should we seriously believe Nike. I mean they contract out for labor, so violations are the fault of the labor contractor and not Nike. B.S. And I imagine 'vestiges' of both child labor and sweatshop conditions remain in Nike factories.

Perhaps he should emigrate to a better country, such as Venezuela, Central African Republic, or Libya then.
20   georgeliberte   2019 Jul 5, 12:40pm

Notably in March 2017 Nike took a big step backward when it ceased allowing the independent NGO Workers Rights Consortium access to factories to check on labor standards.

This is what tariffs are for. First World needs to tariff imports from nations whose sole manufacturing advantage is slave level wages and lax pollution laws.

Fortunately things more important than feet can be covered in American flag.

Like Gillette, I'm sure this is just an accident after going all Wokey Dokey.
