It's always black kids, and exclusively black kids. Never whites, Asians, or even Hispanics.
Of course most black kids probably wouldn't do that. But when it happens, it's always blacks.

Kids in buses ESPECIALLY after a sporting event. If they are allowed to exit uncontrolled and there is a store, the kids will do an invasion just like this. Some of the kids might just want to buy a soda and candy and they wind up caught up in the middle of the crazy kids.
Some retailers keep their stores tightly controlled when they are aware bus loads of kids will stop by.

Fifty years ago was indeed the beginning. I was at our public library several years ago researching a story on Microfilm of the local newspapers about a tragedy that happened to a prominent family in Waco in 1969. Never could find it, but in the process found a story about an incident in Houston that involved a welfare office. A group of black welfare mothers took maybe 10 to 15 of their children ranging in age from probably 12-15 to the welfare office where the children stormed the office, assaulted employees and trashed the files as the employees looked on helplessly since they were "children", one of the employees sustained a cracked rib before the mob receded. Here's the icing on the cake, the last note in the story: no charges were filed. This was the era of mass confrontation and general rancidity in our society. Turns out this was not the only place it happened but was a general assault on the welfare system in other areas, staged by the National Welfare Rights Association between 1966 and 1975. They had commandeered a welfare office in Dallas in 1968, the first full year I lived there. Society laid down and rolled over and these are their descendants and all we hear about is the poor blacks, the poor blacks.
