The last thing anyone wants is the AC repairman sniffing around your women when you're not at home. This advertisement is classless and creepy.
There's a time to be funny and crude, but advertising your services is not one of them.

From the linked article:

“The subliminal message about society is that it’s ok to comment on women’s bodies, and comment on women’s bodies as if they are the possession of someone else – ‘your wife’.”

They are still deciding whether the company should be "investigated".

I don't think they should be investigated, and they have the right to use it. I would fire the Ad Agency if it was my company. I would have never used it.
AAC kept the Billboard up for about 3 or 4 years. They even blasted the radio with the message. Now you never hear from them anymore.

The only people that thought it was funny was single dudes that rent. I never saw a married person or someone with a Girlfriend say it was a clever or funny ad. They all thought it was as creepy as I did.

She is "your wife," just like you are "her husband."

I saw that on a van in Jupiter last year; I think it's funny.

I think it's ok if the owner makes money from the ad.

I wondered if the business would get a lot of shit from the PC crowd.

It's not about being PC, it's about sexual innuendos and calling them to cuck you with your wife. It's repulsive on that level.
I would respect an AC company that the techs are all ex Chip and Dale strippers. And they marketed to Women directly. Where as this stupid Ad, markets the men to call dudes to come hound around your "Hot Wife".

Market women directly, it's not about being PC, it's about stupidity on too many levels to count.

How would an advert aired in Nottingham, England effect a business in South Florida?

You must have mis read my post. I said that his slogan originated in South Florida from an AC company called "Air Around the Clock".
They advertised everywhere. Even on the radio, with that slogan. Now you don't hear about them or see them. I bet they lost money with that campaign.

Tenpoundbass is inferring something that I didn't when I saw the silly ad.

The female in the ad is hot and dressed very provocatively; if she's someone's wife the guy has problems with her regardless of who comes in to fix the AC.

Men pay the bills most of the time; this ad may surely not attract the single divorced or widows running around Jupiter.

I like that Florida is a last bastion of political incorrectness; in Santa Cruz they would have organized a protest and tried to put the guy out of business.

Lol must be a comment from some feminist gay/lesbo type on that article.

Liberals already labeled whole world some sort of “ism, it’s, phobia”. Don’t really care what those dumbasses think.
