Looking like I have nothing of value on me, I've walked though many bad neighborhoods in Chicago w zero problems. I've been told the local gang lords highly discourage random violence. 98% of the murders, fights, attacks are territory disputes.

I would say that religious shitty states are generally much safer than Baltimore.

I grew up about an hour outside of Baltimore and no one wanted to go there as it was generally unsafe, and pretty crappy. In fact other than visiting the aquarium, I only went to one concert in that grotesque city.

Not at all, I'll compare the murder rate of White Rural areas to Minority Heavy ones anyday of the week. And yes, there are rural counties with big Black Populations. Same problems as the inner city. Look at rural parts of Louisiana for one.

Two points:
1)those states don’t have the natural access to high value industry that coastal states enjoy. They’re too far from larger markets to be effective industrial hubs and not significant enough to be tourist destinations. Consequently, the economy isn’t great. This means less money going around to enrich the population, which means less per capita.
2)blacks in these states tend to be some of the most religious people and do vote conservative often times, especially when the Democrats go off the reservation with weird social issues.
