A former Google insider claiming the company created algorithms to hide its political bias within artificial intelligence platforms – in effect targeting particular words, phrases and contexts to promote, alter, reference or manipulate perceptions of Internet content – delivered roughly 950 pages of documents to the Department of Justice’s Antitrust division Friday.

The former Google insider, who has already spoken in to the nonprofit organization Project Veritas, met with SaraACarter.com on several occasions last week. He was interviewed in silhouette, to conceal his identity, in group’s latest film, which they say exposes bias inside the social media platform.

Several weeks prior, the insider mailed a laptop to the DOJ containing the same information delivered on Friday, they said. The former insider is choosing to remain anonymous until Project Verita’s James O’Keefe reveals his identity tomorrow (Wednesday).

He told this reporter on his recent trip to Washington D.C. that the documents he turned over to the Justice Department will provide proof that Google has been manipulating the algorithms and the evidence of how it was done, the insider said.

Google may sue this guy for theft of intellectual property. I sure their is a non-disclosure agreement somewhere that affects this. Google will likely make an example of this to deter any other whistle blowers.

That said, this could be a right wing propaganda to pressure google to take right-wing bias

Or just display search results with no bias? And what laws protect this person? If google has algo's to influence search results, is that illegal? So not sure this is a whistleblower type situation. We'll see.

If they are a content provider they can do whatever, however they are taxed as pass through. Provider vs publisher thing.

I wish patrick.net were on that blacklist. Maybe it is. Would be nice to have proof though.

And hey thanks @HonkpilledMaster for providing a delicious list of reading material that Google would rather hide from us!

My pleasure. Wow, looking at it again. Glen Beck?! Grabien? Rebel Media? Also, Ebay? That's interesting. Maybe a Google Competitor is on the way.

This whole thing about the algorithm being biased is a strawman. It's not that the algorithm is biased, it's that the data fed to the algorithm, as manipulated by Google SJWs or as manipulated by armies of SJWs outside Google, is biased.

Remember Microsoft's "teen girl AI" on the web a while back? That was presumably non-biased AI that went hilariously awry from people on the web feeding it biased data. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/2016/03/24/microsofts-teen-girl-ai-turns-into-a-hitler-loving-sex-robot-wit/

Then there's internal Google manipulation. Presumably, the Google search algorithm has a blacklist (as required in some countries — and used in the US also). The algorithm isn't biased at all... it finds the results using (presumably) unbiased search algorithm, then, in an unbiased way, deletes the results that match the blacklist. The actual bias isn't in the algorithm, it's in the SJWs that manually place entries in the blacklist. The algorithm presumably has a "promote" list as well, where unbiased hits that match in the "promote" list are promoted to the top; again, it's the Google SJWs who put things in the "promote" list that are biased, not the algorithm.

Rick Santorum is a case study of both systems of bias at once. An organized public SJW movement fed search algorithms data to bias them. Then (for a while) Google refused to blacklist the results of that movement on feeding their algorithms even though they knew the data was purposely fed to manipulate the algorithms. Google frequently blacklists search hits that are a result of data manipulation (i.e.: link farms) if it hurts their advertising revenue, but, apparently, not if the manipulation defames a person whose ideas they don't agree with. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campaign_for_the_neologism_%22santorum%22
