Ocasio-Cortez said, “We need to talk about racism, its contours, its histories, where it manifests, how it’s used, because like all winning political phenomena, whether good or bad in your opinion, they rely on collation building. So Trump relied on a coalition, and a core part of that coalition were racists building a collation with all sorts of other people that could be susceptible to racist views—if they were blankets and layered and made people feel good about it not being a racist thing.”

She added, “So there are a lot of people that support Trump that genuinely don’t believe that they are racist because we do not talk about or educate people on recognizing racism. And because we do not do that we get caught in this debate of is something racist. Then people use their defensiveness, and they say, ‘Well, it’s not racist because I’m not racist and I believe this thing because it’s economic in nature.'”

So I'm an educated Trump supporter, 3 advanced degrees, and a retired military pilot. You have a useless business mis-administration degree and were a bar tender. And you have the gall to call me stupid? You're why the progressives will fail.

The true racist are the Democrats making a big deal out of institutional racism, which is just a war on white people. If you are white and Democrat then you belong to a party that hates you and no longer represents the American people and Democratic institutions. The whole point of the Democratic Party is to tear America down, destroy the economy and institute socialist or communist policy to further enslave the American people. If you want to be a slave, the Dems are for you.

Very balanced and nuanced view you've got there.

I'll be honest, I agree that the white supremacy thing is taken too far. It's the unfortunate reaction to Trump. It's true that becasue of the polarization and becasue of social media, I don't know all the reasons, the far left is making a fool of itself.

But just as it's possible to be a true conservative and be utterly and totally disgusted by Trump, it's also possible to be a moderate democrat that doesn't like the SJW left but will easily vote for one of several moderate democrats in 2020.

It is a problem though. Too many young people listening to wacky anti-white voices on the left.

Let's not give in to fear that Louiis C.K. was right.

Thank you for that. There are traditional liberals I can have a rational discussion with. Obviously you are one of them. Dave Rubin is another, and he has practically been co opted by the right because he dared to criticize them for their extremist views, just as you are doing. You might find yourself in the same boat if you tell your fellow Dems their dogma is unfounded in reality.

White privilege is a myth. The truth is we all have obstacles in life to overcome. It's how you handle adversity that makes the man. To put responsibility outside yourself is sad, because then you give over responsibility for your life to someone else.

In other words, when we reach the intersection of Whiteness and Oppression, we must utilize verbosity that encompasses many different pathways. Take for instance the problematic applied use of punctuality control that the dominant party uses as aggression against Folkways of People of Color. Or perhaps, the manicured grass frontage or so called "Bay Windows" - itself a reflection of an oppressive Gothic Past - and how it creates feelings of inferiority among those who seek to proffer a different concept of temporal dimensions. Failing to accept and codify this narrative of repression and violence means that one has serious problems with bigotry and racism, which can only issue from non-POCs to POCs, and is as settled science like Gender Fluidity.

Nuanced and Complex (or, Overly Complicated and encoded for the in-group) views are often pettifogging bigotry hidden in overly complex speech and codewords/insider talk.

If you have to talk about lawns and ventilation portals as being a symbol of White Supremacy, there ain't no Racism or White Supremacy.

Sorry to tell you this but racism is human nature. You're racist even. Bet I could prove it even. YOU CANNOT CHANGE HUMAN NATURE. But the left will kill hundreds of millions trying to do just that. Thank you leftists.

Is it raycist to have scholarships tied to a specific race?
Is it raycist to require that a certain % of purchases are made from companies owned by a specific race/gender?
Is it raycist that medical schools accept applicants from certain races with much lower test scores?
Is Ms. Ocasio-Cortez OK with this system?

If she is, then she is a fucking racist.

Under that definition we are all racist and by extension, none of us are, because every individual is self concerned and concerned about his and her family group etc. first and foremost. That's natural. I agree.

A couple of semesters at The Evergreen State College should straighten them out.

patnet should define RACISM..We could make a checklist and argue about it....give each question a numerical point value and when done, add up the points and see how racist you really are......

Every video I see of Bret Weinstein speak about his experience at the Evergreen Anti-White Temper Tantrum event is so damn impressive. He's so well spoken. His characterization of what happened, and how the herd mentality progressed, and what drove it are so damn cogent and lucid.

In a way, I'm glad that this happened to him. Not because I feel he deserves being the pinata for PoC to hit, but because he is so well equipped to deal with it. To be clear, I mean that if it had to happen to someone, I'm glad it happened to someone like him who can defend themselves well. The mob attack on him, both initially by the students, and then later by the media aftershock, was extreme and unrelenting. The kept swinging at him, but he did well dodging and parrying their attacks. Most people would have probably lost their shit and said or did something that would have escalated it into something much worse, but he handled it with grace and allowed an objective audience to see it for what it was - an angry pack of violent, racist, entitled, vindictive adult-children who became instantly addicted to the feeling of sudden mob power they attained. For maybe the first time in their life, they were able to bitch slap whitey and make a few white people bow down and let them walk and spit all over them.

Unfortunately, seeing this made me much less sympathetic to the legit problems some people face. I will always remember this event, and how the mob lied and acted shamefully in total unison, invoking the very same politically charged statements that I hear and see often. Those statements are stained by this behavior, and have lost even more of their legitimacy to me.

These people are just talking to their looney base, 98% of everyone is a little racist and just care about putting food on the table, it ain't that complicated. Been like that for 1000 years, will be that way for the next 1000 years.

Fuck, all these obviously retarded people are actual college students? Idiocracy is here, folks.

How many black people claim they are oppressed to capitalize on that minority credit of unfair persecution, when they actually led privledged lives: Cory Booker, who went to Yale and had a privileged upbringing complains about how hard he had it and how he was suppressed by the white man.

SEE: https://blavity.com/senator-cory-booker-opens-up-about-his-childhood-success-and-paths-forward-in-special-podcast-episode

Jussie Smollett staged a fake attack to show how oppressed he was so he could capitalize on that to get a better acting gig.

And Stanford. I would know ... we were in the same class! Somehow, I never noticed him in honors calculus, which is weird, because there were only about 20 of us left by the end of the year. Oh well.

I don't understand MAGA

It's an acronym for Make America Great Again.

It's a backlash to all of the corrupt politicians (the swamp) who have sold out the American people to the highest bidder.
