I always felt that a hot woman around the office is good for team morale. Frankly, this woman isn't all that great. I'd give her about a 7 to 7.5. I could focus on my work around her, no problem.

I can feel for this chick though. I had an ex-girlfriend that was taken off a large architecture project at work because the star architect of the project had an obvious crush on her--making management nervous.

In the end, lawsuits like this hurt women more than they help, IMHO. Most small-time entrepreneurs that I know won't hire women, or even minorities, for fear of the liability issues rather than any sexism or racism.

Was the issue that she was too "hot" (sexually attractive) - or that she wore tight-fitting clothing and amped up her sexuality? Banks are nortoriously sticks in the mud when it comes to expressing individuality. But is she dressed within the dress code, wtf?

The thing is, she appears to be very attractive. I would think that would attract customers - why would that be a problem? Unless she's having sex with the customers or her bosses, I can't see the problem. My ex had a very attractive secretary and all the guys drooled over her (along with a lesbian woman), but he was still able to work. I don't see the problem.

It's 2010. I don't know about team morale, but if in this day and age a man can't appreciate and
enjoy working with an attractive woman, without it "distracting" him, or without having some sort of inappropriate "feelings," I would say that is entirely his problem.

In this case my guess is the true problem is that they need more attractive women around, not less. ( although I guess that sounds sexist ).

What's his name?

(sorry, Bap. couldn't resist)

I read the story - and it does reek of sexual harassment. But it's also only from her point of view. The company isn't talking - and if it did she could sue for releasing her personal information... I dare say that there's more to this story than we'll ever know. E-man says

My company laid off a technical assistant due to her poor performance. She came back and sued the company for wrongful termination. We paid her off with $75,000. Our lawyer said that we would WIN FOR SURE if go to trial, but it would cost us well over $100,000. So it was cheaper to pay her off than go to trial.

This happens alot. Many nuisance lawsuits are settled for less than the cost of going to court.

...and she was born in a log cabin she helped her father build. She fought off 5 attackers, singlehanded and blindfolded. (How they found five one-handed attackers with blindfolds on to jump her, I'll never know...).

Well, it's her story. She'll get her fifteen minutes out of it and that's all that matters.

But wait...there's more.

The Discovery Channel even chronicled her quest for plastic surgery in a 2003 four-part series. In the series, she said she wanted to be as well endowed as a Playboy playmate, reports the newspaper.

"That's what I want to be: t**s on a stick," she says in a video, according to The Daily News.

The public perception is shifting - there's an op ed piece in the NY Post saying her fifteen minutes are up (I always wondered who gets to hold the timer). Nonetheless, it is interesting that she was on a Discovery Channel show about plastic surgery. People have surgery every day and don't feel the need to go on national teevee.

She'll get something out of this - but it most likely won't be respect. I don't think she cares, tho.

As an aside, tits on a stick would be an excellent name for a men's snack, doncha think?

Yeah, this one's a character. I could see this situation becoming a case study for law school students on the many issues involved with sexual harrasssment cases.

Working on a trading floor for years, I saw many women that were boarderline harrassed. Some of the yelling, screaming traders would take their comments and actions too far. Often though, the women that worked on the trading floor were the types that made their way through life flirting with men to get what they wanted. The trader machismo and male chauvanistic response was encouraged by many of these stripper-esque women. As should be expected in this environment, many of these ladies filed sexual harrassment cases. One girl, known affectionately as "boob-zilla" on the floor, was well-known for giving BJ's in the stairwell. Last I heard, Boob-zilla had a sexual harrassment case against her old employer still pending. These cases are rarely black and white.

Sounds delicious. You should hire a few strippers to push around a mobel snack cart filled with these at sporting events. This goes along well with my long term plan of opening up a burrito shop along the boystown/wrigleyville boarder called "Man-ritos." Besides the signature 9'' Manrito, we would also sell "spicy pink tacos" while blasting Lady Gaga music.

Would ya sell it for sixty-nine cents?

I am sure that 69 would be worked into the prices somehow. Maybe I could sell a "threesome" combo for $6.90--one Manrito, and two pink tacos.

I am only half joking here. I do love pink tacos.
