He is correct in identifying the employment gap between a High School drop-out and college graduate http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t04.htm but the divide between rich and poor goes well beyond ones employment status.

The gap has to do with the rate of wealth creation. The wealthiest 10% grow their wealth significantly faster than the other 90%, despite of (or perhaps because of) the financial crisis of the past few years.
