Finally, a listing NOT in California!
Looks like a nice modest suburban home on a small lot - what are they asking?
I live in the Lansing area and while this is not the best neighborhood in town, it is certainly not the worst. Most homes nearby were build in the early 50's and are typically on smaller lots and under 1000 sq ft.
Looks like they had this one up for sale until April 5 for $39,000. (not sure why it was removed, but does not appear to have been sold.) Yes, that's not a typo; under $40,000. Not far from a school, a hospital, and a nice park and near some major bus lines. Other homes in the area range from $30,000 to over $100,000. Could be a good deal if it is a solid home that has not been torn up on the inside.
Unfortunately, with Michigan's shrinking population, there are going to be more homes that buyers for years (if not decades) to come, so would not suggest buying this place to flip it or you could spend a long time waiting for a buyer. If you want to be able to pay cash for a place to live in long term, you could do much worse in this area and many people have.
