"American dream" was always about running a successful business, and that dream is not dead. One can still start with little and achieve.

Granted it is more difficult due to higher competition with larger population, but it is still very much possible.

Boy, you guys came out of that with a completely different take than I did.

I thought it was more about families producing as a unit again, rather than just consuming together, and bringing work back as part of childhood routine/education.
