While your on today's rant-a-thon, Trumpligula might be more effective at targeting the automobile parts suppliers over the Automakers themselves but I'll let you ponder that for awhile.
Later and by all means - buy Korean !
You're going to buy from WalMart, probably the corporation MOST AT FAULT FOR OUR CURRENT SITUATION WITH CHINESE IMPORTS, and contribute to their profits while believing you're making a stand for the little guy.
Here's something else to ponder - if you are really concerned about buying American, try VIZIO since it was founded here, headquartered here and they sell at Wal-Mart but you probably know that last part.
Again - thank you from the bottom of my heart for your Samsung purchases, it's always nice to see someone like yourself helping out my retirement (I never knew you cared so deeply), and what with Ironman covering my digestive tract the future looks swell.
Gotta run - see you later...
I might buy an iPhone if they get rid of Tim Cock and make them in America.
i expect him to "resign" in 2 years.
Since 1993 I have paid:
~ $3000 more for my US made clothes, shoes (New Balance, etc). Suits from Burberry are not made in US anymore
~ $30K less for my cars (Ford mustang, Jeep Cherokee, Ford Escape)
~ Most of my electronics are from Korea (Samsung) and Taiwan (TSMC). Lastest computer is Chinese.
~ $10000 more for us made appliances (Whirlpool, DACOR), furniture(Flexsteel), kitchen gear, pots/pans, tools.
So I have a net saving of over $20000 for buying american. If the US would drop its penchant for foreign cars, buy clothes, appliances, and some items from the US, we could rectify our trade and deficit without tariffs.
My ford is not as nice as a BMW, but when I go fishing, I can run up against saplings and just dont care. Plus the Ford is much more reliable.
