U.S. healthcare administrative costs out of control

A report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) shows admin costs in U.S. health care are the highest in the developed world. They account for over 8% of spending in the sector. Globally, health care systems spend about 3% on average on administration. Ah no shit, can we stop calling Insurance execs and Sales managers "Healthcare" workers?

And see them for what they are a leach on our healthcare system. Fuck the insurance companies, let the hospitals charge what they think people can afford.

With current technology, there is no reason this cannot be shaved to 1.5% or lower.

Nurse practitioners should be able to work with doctors to manage patient flow, records archive and a highly automated billing system to crush administrative costs and direct office energies to hands on care and consultation.
