Anyone who thought civil liberties were bad under Obama had better wake up. Those 8 years will seem like a libertarian dreamworld compared to what's coming under Trump.

North side? That's where the richer people live. Seems like the government is protecting the rich from the poor as usual. Anyone riding the L from South to North will be checked for weapons and drugs. If they were conducting these checks at random stops in the South side, they'd be combating crime. This just looks like crime prevention to me.

This is what you get when some toad named raul doesn't enforce existing laws and people are being slaughtered in record numbers in chicago.
Or would you just like to keep the status quo and let em die?

Did you read the article? DHS is the new police force? If they are protecting the "rich" as you say, then why were they checking the bags of the people who got on the el at Addison? Those are the "rich" in your view. Really Addison is the stop right next to Wrigley Field so, while it is a nice neighborhood, it's mostly younger folks. Not super rich.

Are a lot of people dying on the Red line at Addison?

No, because of the new checks in place, validating the effectiveness of 'stop and search' tactics.
Thanks for making my point...

That's bullshit, as usual.

Ah, these checks improve security in the past! How wonderful!! Can we put some of these checks at the twin towers and stop 9/11?

Didn't they have lots of homeland check points in nazi Germany?

So, Patrick, Lips, and other Trump backers have no problem with this?

I just want to see again the level of rationalization and hypocrisy we have here.

"people are being slaughtered in record numbers in chicago."

That's bullshit, as usual. Murders are way up in the city, but are still below the typical murder rate from the early 90s.

@ Patrick--

Is there any way to put the posts that come out of moderation in their original time sequence? It makes the flow of the thread off when they are inserted at the point they come out of moderation.

The cost of moderating free speech, isn't it great.

I agree. Also you've got to limit the number of bad flags otherwise people like CIC are going use flagging as a new way to troll. Put him in time out for a week whenever he gets out of hand.

Ya'll remember that truck load of guns that Donald Trump's AG lost and the Russians got it, and that time he sent three pallets of USD 750Million to Iran, and gave 50 tonnes of hardware and ammo to ISIS terrorists
No?
How about that time Trump's AG stopped Flyn on the tarmac and entered his private jet. And the Uranium he sold Russians, ya'll remember that?
No?
Me either, but I sure as fuck remember Obama's administration did some stinkiy Shit!

So this justifies Trump? Your statements look like typical Trumpian-era misdirection to me.

What would be the issues/findings/"things" that would make you at all critical of Trump? Or is justifying Trump too tied with your identity you can no longer be critical at all?

Remember when we had a president that had the good faith and backing of his executive branch? - Yeah. Me too. I remember that as if it were only 26 days ago. Watch the intelligence community and administration in the next 4 days - 2 weeks. There is an internal schism occurring right now.

Is your insinuation that only iwog feels that that individual is a detriment, not an asset, to Patrick.net?
I can assure you iwog isn't an island unto himself in that opinion.

Should be fine though, right? That rough and tumble can be had in the Thunderdomes.
