Perhaps there really is no future in traditional broadcasting. This is yet another sign the final nail is in the coffin.

With Ellie Kemper and Tina Fey, this is easily the most anticipated comedy in years, yet NBC could not find space for it.

Broadcasters must choose the "right" content. This is because their lineup is fixed and limited. Netflix, on the other hand, can afford to take risks because they face no such constraints.

As a result, mistakes are cheap but rewards are potentially huge. Like in everything in life, the key ingredient to success is *asymmetry*.

I love smart and quirky comedies and I will look forward to the show. It is already renewed for Season 2! I will stop watching traditional TV altogether.

Can they please pick up Brenda Forever, a "failed" NBC pilot from last year, as well?

Being shown on Netfilx is not an honor, it's a where you go when your movie or show sucks.

This is where the informed audience is. The network TV crowd can only get dumber.

The show is written by Tina Fey and it features Ellie Kemper. It will be as good as it can get.

When only so-called "funny" comedies like Big Bang Theory can be successful on the airwave all smart-funny shows should go directly to Netflix or Amazon in the future.

I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I'm glad the show has been picked up for two full seasons. However, it is sad that non-dumb shows can no longer survive on mainstream networks. It has a lot to say about the general population.
