My favorite poster on Pat.net remains the guy that ignores you, but sees your posting before he signs in and in a complete lack of emotional control is compelled to post in response.

Even though hes ignoring you.

Well then, he's not really ignoring sbh, now is he?

there's no verb in this sentence.

jazz music says

The likes of CaptainShuddup, Call it Crazy, SoftShell, indigenous, Strategist

211   indigenous   2014 Dec 22, 1:31pm

SoftShell says

there's no verb in this sentence.

I think it is actually a part of the previous sentence and should just be considered a prepositional phrase, i.e. Jazz neglected to add the preposition as.

His sentence structure is really quite verbose and oblique which we have all come to recognize as his style.

You come to patnet for honest POVs and awareness of interesting and emerging topics. So trolls are best ignored because they take up brain-space while forming an ad hoc dog pack of knee-jerks and button pushers ever failing to offer an honest thought. They even manage to abuse the idea of voting something like/dislike.

Not sure you are serious. I you are, I got some news for ya....

Worthwhile thoughts emerge nested between the mindlessness, but not as well. With the simple abusers and the reliably inept removed from one's display the patnet read takes on a better character; without the likes of CaptainShuddup, Call it Crazy, SoftShell, indigenous, and Strategist, there is still plenty of entertainment here.

Oh ok, everyone who has a point of view different than yours is a troll. Got it.

I am *still* winning. Three out of the top ten Best Ofs listed right now are my contributions.

And, of course, half of the all-time Best Ofs are AF creations!

And humble too, maybe AF should get some sort of trophy?

215   Rin   2014 Dec 22, 11:36pm

No need for trolling, make your points and stand by 'em.

For me, it's rather simple...

There is no STEM shortage; corporate America sucks, and the academic world is worthless.

Next, bone international hoes instead of dating stateside. This is to cover the waiting period before sex robots become available.

Any questions?

SoftShell says

jazz music says

1. It's not a sentence. It's a fragment.
2. It doesn't have to be a sentence. The message is clear, and that's all that matters.

This is two independent clauses, each with a verb, stitched together with a semicolon. It's completely grammatical.

Anyone who can't read this is illiterate at best or conservative at worst.

I am getting a kick out of how delighted AF is with winning. Kid in the candy store. It is cute.

I never thought I would use the word "cute" in reference to AF.

That's marcus, and (s)he uses a separate browser to stalk Users (s)he pretends to Ignore. I suspect "jazz music" may be an Alias of marcus, because it's the only way I can explain the combination of absurdly partisan distortions with an apparently identical agenda, similar advocacy of the Ignore function, similar trollishness scores, and apparent inability or refusal to grasp even basic logic and mathematics.

I also think that people should rise or fall based on their own hard work, not because they were born in the right or wrong neighborhood.

This suggests that somehow people would be born into the world with equal levels of family and financial support. Is there a way to do that other than Brave New World?

People who say everyone should work their way up don't understand just how bad an environment into which a person can be born. Pretty tough problem to solve as it involves so many complicated combinations of societal and genetic elements.
