The best data we have is from the Diamond princess. There were 3711 people on board. 705 of them got sick, this being in confined spaces with other sick people. So this is about 19% (on average about 8% of the people come down with the flu per year in the general population). 6 of those that got sick died (at least 3 of those were over 80; I was unable to find the ages of the other 3). I am willing to bet the other 3 were also elderly and/or had other health problems as cruise passengers tend towards a more elderly population.

So, for the most part its effects seem similar to just another strain of the flu, but yes the media will hype it for all it's worth. You gotta print about something.

Yes, this is possible.

There is a huge amount of money at stake. The Chinese are desperate to get rid of Trump so that he doesn't repatriate all those manufacturing jobs to the US.

And the Chinese have enthusiastic cooperation from corporate fuck weasels who were happily draining cash from America by producing in China and selling in the US.

And they both have fanatical cooperation from liberal pedophiles who have a vocabulary of exactly one word: "RACISM!" And it's the liberal pedophiles who run the media.

My prediction: cases in China decline from now on, cases in the rest of the world pop up, but it proves to be no more than a bad flu. The media will keep exaggerating the harm and blame Trump. Voters won't blame Trump, and he will win bigly in November. Stock market will reach new highs during Trump's second term.

How anyone has an investment loss since 2016 as the W5000 rose 33% is a mystery to me.

These theories are nonsense IMO. Occam's razor just doesn't support an operation of this magnitude. If it - while highly unlikely - originated from a lab, then it was either an accident or a 1 man crime. Keep in mind that if anybody even in the higher ranks or the military finds out about this that the Chinese don't fuck around. I'd expect an immediate overthrow if that theory had any merit followed by death by firing squad for many. Plus you know they eat everything. A contaminated animal is the by far most likely explanation.

If so, that could really backfire. With Chinese production cut back and thus shortages, it emphasizes how much the US need to keep manufacturing at home. ABC News even reported a shortage of medicines across the board because of disruptions in China. The may convince the public that pharma should be domestically produced.
