Someday the financial economy will reflect the real economy.

Boeing offers second volunteer layoff package to employees

Article fails to mention details on how much severance is being offered.

I would take a severance in a heartbeat.

The Fed Gov should announce a $1B prize for a 787 equivalent aircraft. Let Elon Musk participate.

Enough with one or two fat cat Aerospace companies. Break 'em up, and force design bid winners to subcontract broadly to non-award winners so we can have a half-dozen competing companies. They make the prototypes at their own expense, too.

Wonder what happened to McDonnell Douglas from back in the day. They made a few iconic airplanes.

Maybe this will break Washington State. Seattle’s policies have been awful for a long time.

Tough industry. Doesn't take much to suck up the actual talent that produces if you have the edge over another company as far as higher wages and benefits. If you have 80% of the engineering talent in one realm under contract/salary, it's going to be tough on the competition. Given Boeing's longevity, nepotism creeps in too, so the new talent is funneled in without many questions asked instead of them looking at the competition. Likely lower wages without the recruiting costs as well because dad worked there.

"internal anonymous ethics complaint" Bye, bye right to confront your accusers in the progressive world. Just maybe they lack the strength of their convictions.
