I rarely fly, but there's an airline that I will never patronize.

With the number of companies going woke, I'm going to have to resort to doing everything myself within a few years. Hunter/gatherer is looking pretty attractive at this point.

Good idea!

They have just proclaimed that they do not put pilot qualification above all else.

They are going to have less qualified pilots, and likely more crashes than other airlines.

They will still have the best pilots for quite a while to come though as many of their current ones are ex military pilots since they used to hire those preferably. Sad change in tune. Never go woke ;)

We'll see. They might lose some of them due to the wokeness. There are very few pilots out there and as demand picks back up, jumping companies isn't that difficult. 737 Max is back in the air and all the airlines that have them are going to need pilots. Probably not a bad time to be a pilot.

Just got back in from soccer this morning with the kids and this was the first thing I open on my phone. Sorry if it has been posted in another thread. White Sox are my team. Love it. https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/pritzker-and-lightfoot-booed-at-chicago-white-sox-home-opener-video-shows

At some point, Dems are going to cannabalize themselves. It will be most prominent in cities as I think we're going to see record crime in the following years with defund the police, etc. Besides airports I have no intention of going to a major city for a while. Unfortunately I have a feeling Biden at some point before 2022 mid terms is going to bail out these bankrupt cities.

Sorry all over the map as usual, lol.

So we should really be giving non-woke airlines our business.

They deserve it because they are putting our safety first.

I think Southwest is probably pretty good in this regard. (Full disclosure - I am a LUV shareholder.)

Remember those lesbians flying off the cliff with their six adopted ethnic children? That's SJW piloting.

Woke flying if you like dying.

This may give United a change to cut labor costs under the name of wokeness. That is, lay off some high time and high paid older White male pilots to replace them with new low time and much lower paid minority and female pilots. Of course, the Union will fight to protect the high time pilots, but the woke craze may give United enough political allies to beat the Union resistance. Might even get the Union to go along, just like how Unions now screw over their workers by siding with the Dems on illegal immigration.

To be clear, I have zero objection to highly qualified black pilots.

I don't care who is flying the plane as long as they are very very good at it. I want pilots selected solely on qualifications. Race should not be a factor at all, ever.

Exactly, the problem is that forced quotas always fail, or forced anything for that matter.

Don't worry, we'll have diversity hiring for air traffic control and plane safety inspections soon enough. That'll "fairly" affect all the airlines!
14   Ceffer   2021 Apr 10, 2:49pm

This will help the airlines collect lots of crash insurance for their barely used fleets from Covid lockdowns.

And you all thought discrimination was illegal...

this is pasted from the article RC2006 linked to:

United has partnered with Sallie Mae to offer private student loans to ensure that no highly-qualified, highly-motivated, eligible applicants will be turned away solely because they can't afford to enroll.

Wonderful. Yet another government subsidy for a dinosaur of a business.
