The CDC, which has currently unconstitutionally aggregated to itself control of elements of the housing market, is preparing the bureaucratic ground for “Relocation Camps”.

"What is the Shielding Approach?"
"The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk”) and the general population (“low-risk”). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting.1,2 They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents."

You go to the Internment camp!
And you go to the Internment camp!

For those who lack the secret decoder wheel for TyrantTalk:

"high-risk" = did not receive experimental injection
"low-risk" = received experimental injection

There's also a large hiring spike going on at DHS right now for "community organizers", or something similar.

They specifically mention separating families using Shielding, and having "counselors" onsite to help with trauma. Newspeak for government re-education.

These job openings all seem to be quintessential Bull Shit Jobs.
David Graeber postulated that half of all jobs are pointless.
It might be closer to 100% at somewhere like FEMA.

There are couple or three of IT positions sprinkled here and there... But even tech support in an office full of BS job holders is a BS job too.

You're just not well versed in the latest Newspeak:

Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist = internment camp head guard

Public Affairs Specialist = propagandist

Architect = Prison designer

I don't like it, but this is what should have been done March 2020. Most people dying didn't leave the house anyway, it was younger and mildly sick people visiting the elderly or Cuomo dumping the sick in a nursing home.

Older folks are stubborn though. So this wouldn't work I don't think. But the CDC is actually right on this though (for once). Protect the people that are weakest. Stop giving printed money to families making $150k/yr for themselves or their kids. Pay the money to the old people. Screen visitors. STOP screening healthy younger people to get into places like Hawaii or USVI. Then open this fucking economy back up full throttle and stop dicking around. People aren't working because we have to protect old people that aren't working... makes total sense.

That depends on a number of factors:

Do germs make us sick? According to Bechamp, no.
Who's cares most about protecting a "weak" person? I'd posit NOT the government, and whoever cares about that person(family, friends), should be the ones responsible for determining how to protect them.
What are the health impacts of isolation? Especially with older people it's been shown that loneliness is a big problem. Keeping someone physically healthy means keeping them emotionally healthy. Our bodies are an integrated system, you can't piece-meal health.

I agree with you. But if the government wants to meddle in our health, camp/residences to protect old people would have been extremely, extremely responsible IF (big if) they should be involved at all. Instead everyone was shut down. Little kids forced to put masks on when they statistically won't die from Covid. Trump fucked it up and Biden will likely fall back on Fauci fucktardness. A good family friend just had their 17 year old vaccinated. I wanted to puke when I heard that. Whatever though. The brainwashing at this point is unstoppable IMO.

If we have mask mandates, why not round up the vulnerable and protect them? I'm libertarian/independent so this type of shit freaks me out, but if it improves the lives of 98% of the population to just move about as they should and work and produce, I'm honestly all for it. AND it would keep those people alive while Covid works its way through those that can handle it or take care of themselves. Obesity is a massive problem in this country and our government is focused on masks and injections not even approved by their own agencies. It's a joke. I'm game for geezer camps (70+)

Because it's BS and you know it. This is why Obama had a 500 person birthday party, why Newsome had a dinner at the French Laundry with wealthy donors, why several governors and mayors demanded people stay at home on last thanksgiving and christmas that went out of the country for parties.

It's just bullshit. There's no fucking pandemic, nobody in power is concerned about it, they know masks don't work but demand them anyhow, they PURPOSELY put sick people in nursing homes just to kill more people. They're full of shit.

It's not going to improve 98% of the people's lives - that's not what they are trying to do, they are attempting to seize more power and control. They more you give in, the worse it will get. In 12 months from now all the restrictions and stupidity you see now, will still be here. And if you don't believe me:

https://www.patrick.net/post/1335674/2020-10-20-we-will-never-go-back-to-normal

I wrote that on October 20, last year. Some people pooh poohed the idea, it's pretty obvious what the intentions of our criminal oligarchy are. This whole pandemic bullshit is just cover for other things. These assholes don't care if they kill a few million over this nonsense - they probably get wet and hard over it, and masturbate at the thought.

The problem is the organization determining who's vulnerable. If I was part of a corrupt government, and wanted to eliminate resistance, I think you'd be on my list of weaklings I need to isolate in camps. Why? Because you're a Libertarian, and thinking is dangerous for my longevity as a corrupt official.

The most dangerous ideology to both the individual and the nation is collectivism and the idea that the “greater good” should be placed over individual rights and determinism.

Applying that to Wookie’s suggestion, we find that he is fine with violating “vulnerable” people’s rights in the interests of the greater good. I can’t agree. Even if the individual is a fat old person with diabetes, they should still have the right to live as they choose, within whatever means they can call to hand. And if they don’t want to live like hermits, afraid of every virus, or even don’t want to live at all anymore, that should be their choice and their choice alone!!

My neighbor died last week. He was a very nice guy, about 87 years old, not in good health. But he lived by himself under his own power until the end. I support that. He lived on his terms until his life was over and I sincerely hope that can be the case for myself.

We're on the same page. All I'm saying is from March of 2020 there was a group of people we knew this killed. Cuomo doubled down and killed them. It wouldn't have needed to be a lock down either. Information for those at risk and what they should do. Provide resources financially to the elderly instead of young people/families that could be making $175k and getting printed money for no reason. If you leave your house there is a higher probability of getting infected and dying. The information and message was all shit.

Fauci then flip flops on masks. There was never going to be a shortage. One of my first jobs was manufacturing signs you see at businesses, the big ones. If we got a huge order from say SunTrust Bank or Chase, we'd hire more people and order more aluminum and steel. There was nothing preventing front line health care workers from having masks AND the public. Literally nothing. Fact is if they worked that should have been the focus. Prevention is better than worrying about ventilators, those people were the people dying anyway. But we all know masks don't work.

There's so many layers of lies to this whole thing. Older people should have been asked to stay home and younger people should have been instructed how to deal with stubborn older people. Nah... lock everyone down. It was Trumps biggest failure and I still voted for him. Fauci should have been canned in May. He let the swamp do its work and he got fucked over because of it. The American people got fucked over.

Yes, and the less skeptical/analytical people believe the lies, and are afraid.

It would have been smart if you are high risk to lockdown voluntarily, people should have gotten this advice , but then everyone should have been free to make their own choices and suffer the consequences and reap the rewards for these choices. The mandates and other totalitarian measures were, are and continue to be wrong and counterproductive unless totalitarian measures ARE the goal.

Yep, it's like saying "I'm not against conscription to some foreign war of dubious necessity because my son is only 10". Guess what - he'll be 18 in 8 years and some of these wars are capable of lasting way longer than that.

Your not a 70 y.o. geezer now but if you're lucky you will be one in 20-30-40 years. :D

Are There US Quarantine Camps Right Now?

Two years ago, attorney and Brownstone Fellow Bobbie Anne Flower Cox took note of the New York State executive order to permit the building and use of quarantine camps. The litigation against it is still in process. We might have supposed it was an outlying case. That, sadly, is not true.

It turns out that the first federal quarantine camp (not called that of course) constructed in one hundred years (since the Great War’s round up of Germans on US soil) was completed in January 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska. It was immediately used to house Americans kidnapped from their vacations from aboard the Diamond Princess cruise liner.

I first read about this in a July 26, 2021 article in the New York Times.

A shiny new federal quarantine facility in Omaha — the first constructed in the United States in more than a century — was finished in January 2020, just in time to receive 15 American passengers from the coronavirus-infested Diamond Princess cruise ship. ...

The history of the abuse of the quarantine power gives rise to chilling examples. Indeed, there is not a huge distance between quarantine power, quarantine camps, detention centers, internment camps, and concentration camps. They are all based on the state power to name a person or group as a threat, politically or therapeutically, and uproot them by force. ...

And it’s not just about disease. The quarantine power has been used by despotic governments all over the world to round up political enemies under the thinnest excuse. Fear of disease is as good an excuse as any but calling a group diseased has a long history of being politically charged, as students of eugenics and the Holocaust know.

The problem is not only the abuse; it is power itself. The facilities now being built – they were widely deployed in Australia during the Covid pandemic – are a predictable follow-up. And what could be the point of building and staffing such places except to use them? In government work, it is always the same: use the budget and the power or lose it to another competitive purpose.

This is another case of the overriding ethos in these post-pandemic times. Far from dialing back on their errors and pulling back on their powers, the entire sorry episode is being used as a template and excuse to ramp up the powers and plans, with every intention to cause a repeat of something similar. When that time comes, they will have far more than 20 beds ready in their facilities.
