Oh, Zerohedge. They scaled the graph in the article to make a 14% drop look like a 95% plunge.

I noticed that as well. Hardly a catastrophe. More like an expected shellacking after a bad couple or quarters. They definitely aren’t trending in the right direction and should be considered a sell. But the company isn’t exactly toast yet.

We just upped our package size for our local meat CSA from 10 to 25lbs. Made some delicious Eye of Round this week, and got a 6.5lb chicken as part of the package.

Not saying vegan/vegetarian diets can't work, but you REALLY have to know what you're doing.

Bill Gates would love to destroy meat and sell his transgender meat horseshit.

Stop the fear porn. If they manage to ban real meat then there will become an abundance of unhealthy, inedible 'red' commi-meat, uugh!

Local meat Confederate States of America???
51   NuttBoxer   2021 Oct 22, 11:20am

Not quite. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It's the concept of buying from your local farmer directly.

Instead of beating your meat, you'll have to say you beat your synthetic tube steak.

We bought half cow + a number of chickens from a local farmer. Next planned purchase is a whole lamb. Too bad very few locals grow hogs as they can not compete with industrial hog-farming.

You've got plenty of, uhhhh, free-range hogs down there. Let's put that gun collection to good use.

There is plenty of these fuckers in Bay Area too: almost every lawn in our neighborhood gets dug up and turned upside down every summer.

Full of PUFAs: polyunsaturated fatty acids, the worst kind of fat.

Vegetarians were running a "Margarine Good, Butter Bad" campaign back in the 80s. Turns out Margarine was worse. Veggie groups - usually "Union of Concerned Scientists for Sustainability" or whatever, were funded by ADM and other BigAgra firms with a vested interest in soy, corn, and grains.

A good T-bone with a pat of butter is better than any Impossible Burger, both in the mouth and in the rest of the body.

This is what we do. I’m not a big produce guy, but we get all meat locally. We should do produce but our schedules are so damn random that half goes bad before we can use it.

We do grow a fuck ton though in our own garden. Process and freeze what we can. We processed about 20lbs of tomato sauce this year. So anything with red sauce is game. Tons of peppers, jalapeños, potatoes, etc. Contemplating getting chickens for eggs and eating. We travel a lot so not sure getting animals is that smart.

Beyond Meat’s cash burn is putting the stock at risk of falling to $0

Beyond Meat is the latest addition to the list of “zombie stocks” compiled by independent equity research firm New Constructs. The research firm, which uses machine learning and natural language processing to parse corporate filings and model economic earnings, warns that Beyond Meat Inc. (BYND) has a high risk of declining to $0 a share. “Beyond Meat must dramatically cut costs and lower its cash burn, or it will go bankrupt,”

Why would anyone eat that shit? That's why it will go to zero. Has nothing to do with fundamentals of the market. It's not good.

I just buy half the damn cow with a friend. Locally raised. No bull shit preservatives added. Freeze it and thaw the night before to grill or make a stew or anything you want. $600 gets me enough beef for the entire year with a family of 5 and frequent cooking for others. Unless I have a craving for something weird, I don't buy meat at the grocery store. Thinking about getting a pig processed.

Work and move. You can eat anything if you do that. So sick of these fucking diet/food fads. Covid would have been nothing if people were healthy. Literally nothing outside of a tiny percentage of immune compromised people.

I guess you're not a dog owner.

The way to handle this is find somebody else that has chickens, and arrange it so they will watch over them when you're on vacation, and you do the same.
