Has anyone ever gotten one of these in the mail? The one I got has the license plate wrong. The ticket says license 6LJN168 WHICH DOESN'T EVEN EXIST in a license plate search. It also states that the car is a Mercedes. The plate in the picture says 6SJN168 which shows a Nissan Altima which is the car in the picture...I've never owned a Nissan Altima and haven't driven a car in CA in over 15 years. The real mystery is why my name and AZ address is on the ticket and connected to a plate number that doesn't exist.

Not sure, but California goes after taxes on people who leave the state for income earned elsewhere if they still declare you a resident of California. Furthermore if they see that you are a resident of a different state they will try to charge you California sales tax on purchases made in that state.

What does that have to do with a toll violation with the wrong car and plate number?
