I though this guy was supposed to be smart.

He takes a dumb position and then doubles down on it in the same two sentence statement.

I didn't hear of any "no-vax" policy from from DeSantis at all.

Only no-mandate policies.

Ever read a Stephen King book?

He's not intelligent in the least. It always perplexed me how such a moron could become a best selling author.

Agreed he is dumb as fuck but he is a pretty good writer for kids/teens age horror stories. These things are not mutually exclusive

He had a few basic good ideas, but his books are horrible. None of the characters in his books are the least bit fleshed out, they are horribly one dimensional to the point I don't think Stephen King has any real comprehension of what an actual human being is like.

I had to read a few books of his in high school assigned to me by my English teacher. His are the only books I'd seriously recommend getting Cliff Notes to digest. If his books were a food, it would be a lot of rice with a few pieces of very basically cooked meat spread few and far between.

The Tommynockers was one book I had to read. I was like in 9th grade, and it was driving me crazy how he wrote a science fiction book and didn't know anything about physics.

I don't know, my hatred of King might have something to do with my dumb English teachers PRAISE and love of him as some excellent writer. I really felt cheated out of a decent literature education because of that teacher. I got caught up in college, but that author is just awful. Awful in every way. Not a huge fan of Shakespeare or something, but at least with a reader explaining all the jokes and double entendres was was interesting.

Agreed.

His books are generally good until about the middle, then the ending falls a part.

Also, the "edge" has been in there since the beginning, and he's always been a Radical Nutcase; Cujo is named after some member of the Symbionese Liberation Army that he sympathized with. All his books are about his dislikes and neuroticisms. Every based character that appears is a secret asshole. He's been mentally ill to the point of hospitalization at least once.

I would say the only semi-descent ending was the Shining, which was left out of the movie, is that the Father gained control of himself for a few seconds from the possession/spirit of the resort and blew up the building to save his family. But that was his fears of being a father.

But yeah, totally overrated.

I never read that book. I enjoyed the film. I also liked The Shawshank Redemption, and Dolores Claiborne. He's the only author that I know of where the film adaptations of his books are consistently and considerably better than the source material.

Engh, people have different tastes, but I really grew to hate Stephen King. People all around me always praised him and after going through a few of his books I just couldn't understand it - but it's not like I didn't enjoy stuff as a kid that if I had to read now would be like chewing tinfoil as I shaved my head with a cheese grater.

When he finally directed his first and only film, 'Maximum Overdrive', claiming that "only Stephen King, could make a Stephen King" movie out of his book ... even he admitted that his movie was a failure on his part.

Every single (to the point where there may be an exception that proves the rule) SK novel is essentially 90% slowly building characterizations, then the last 10% is Deus ex Machina - everything that went before is thrown out the window.

Kind of like WEF/neoliberal policy these days; they trot out some WTF narrative that everyone goes along with for a while, then collectively realize that the whole narrative is a shitshow and we've all wasted two years of our lives following along. But wait - the next novel is coming out soon!

How absolutely based is Gov. Ron DeSantis?

He does not give two craps about what the media thinks of him or what the crazy Covid lefties have to say.

Before an event at the University of South Florida, with high school Students masked in the background, the governor walked up to the kids and told them to free their faces:

"You do not have to wear those masks. I mean, please take them off. Honestly, it's not doing anything. We've gotta stop with this Covid theater. So if you wanna wear it, fine, but this is ridiculous."

The original reporter on this story characterized this as DeSantis being "annoyed" with the students. However, it's clear that he's just frustrated that the kids were told by their school they needed to mask up and he let them know that it is absolutely ridiculous.

He's the only governor in America with enough backbone to tell people that wearing a mask is theater and ridiculous at this point.
There is nothing not to love about this clip.

And, oh, the hate that DeSantis is receiving is off the charts, as expected.

Oh no! Did the mean governor hurt your feelings by telling these kids the truth?

How will these folks recover?

LOL! Absolutely insane.

The kids, for the most part, looked very happy to rip off their masks. There were smiles all around when the governor granted them this freedom.

People are trying to "get the hell out" of blue "dumpster fire" states as Biden's presidency plagues Americans with inflation and soaring gas prices.

Americans, he said, are dealing with "huge, crushing" inflation that has not been seen in over four decades. Gas prices are skyrocketing and President Biden has refused to take responsibility for his bad policies, DeSantis said, noting that Biden is now using the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which he likened to a "bandaid."

"He refuses to utilize energy resources in our own country," he said, blasting Biden for seeking help from dictators to address our energy woes.

Overall, bad federal policy — printing trillions and "spending money we don't have" — is driving inflation, DeSantis said.

True leadership: Gov DeSantis shows the USA and the world a better way (again).

"Gov. DeSantis signs law guaranteeing visitation rights to residents, patients

“If you are hospitalized or in a long-term care facility, you have the right to have your family members present with you. And we have to stand up and say that.”
The “No Patient Left Alone Act,” creates a new section of health care law requiring health care providers to meet minimum visitation rights that must be guaranteed.
The law also prohibits facilities from requiring visitors to show proof of vaccination as a prerequisite for visitation."

Pity that he won't actually call for criminal charges of conspiracy to commit murder to occur. --- That would be against the rules of the elite.

True, he's not quite saying enough yet. Hopefully he will get there.

Trump is also lacking in truth-telling about the dangerous and ineffective experimental injection.
