Yeah it sure did, and was preparing for invasion for years. The evidence is clear:

- almost every NATO country systematically spent less than required 2% of GDP on their military;
- Netherlands and Belgium got rid of all of their tanks, Germany - of most of them and UK was planning to do the same;
- France helped with modernizing electronic equipment like night vision, navigation and stabilization in Rusian tanks, helicopters and fighter and ground attack planes;
- Germany delivered engine control electronics (and whole engines and transmissons) for Russian APC and light armored vehicles;
- France built two state-of-the art Mistral-class amphibious assault ships and was ready to deliver them to Russia in 2014 (and almost did but was stopped by a public shaming canoaign);
- Membership requests from Ukraine and Georgia have been methodically rejected from 2008 onwards;
- Most of European NATO members became severely dependent on Russian gas supplies, some of them to the tune of 80-100%.
- US anti-missile defense in Europe unilaterally dismantked while turning a blind eye to the treaty-violating deployment of Russian intermediate-range missiles in Europe.

Yep, all evidence points to methodical war preparations against poor defenceless Mother Russia.

For example, Germany was against inviting Ukraine into NATO. Most of the EU counties value comfy life and don't benefit from accepting Ukraine into NATO. However, the US insisted that the NATO door needs to be open. Ukraine set NATO membership as a national priority in early 2000s.

Now the EU and the US taxpayers need to embrace the suck.

Agreed. This was totally avoidable

The EU also doesn't want another heavily agra producing state in Europe - esp. not France, Spain, or Ireland.

OK, point me to it. Why should they be considered reliable? Have they produced propaganda before? Give me a link, and let me start researching it. I, for example, know many times that our government has blatantly lied to the public - I would like to see if they repeat those lies or even if they address those matters at all.

To check how reliable a source is, you have to check it against what you know. I'm no expert in the Eastern Europe situation, can't say I'm an expert in the Middle East - but I'm pretty knowledgeable about that area - so - give me a link, and let me start going through their claims with regard to the Middle East. For example, I know that US intelligence knew, with very high certainty, that Hussein didn't have a weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq. I know that the Office of Special Plans created false intelligence to justify US intervention which was basically a group of liars inserted into the Pentagon - their job was to fake intelligence to create a justification for war. That's all they did.

So, give me a spot to start looking.

Better yet, prove that all NATO countries have been spending above 2% and Trump simply lied about them not doing it and that Netherlands never sold off their tanks.

How about disputing the Mistrals? No? Why not?

It's getting ridiculous.

Geeze man - do you pay attention to this stuff at all?

Trump was constantly complaining about Europe not paying their minimum commitments to NATO. He made a big deal about it during his campaign and 4 years of his presidency.

Here is a video of Trump complaining about it directly to the faces of European leaders.

Yeah, "yap yap yap yap".

I long ago learned to completely ignore what a politician says, and only pay attention to what they do. Even if Trump was sincere, he's got ZERO control what goes on. Yep, maybe the US is footing the ENTIRE bill - I see that as possible. It's not in Europe's interest to go to war with Russia, but the US doesn't care about European interests - their priorities seem to be making war, period.

I only look at what actually was done and what happened, not what is said.

You can't complain about Putin being a pedophile when that's what Biden is and it's not a 5 second video.

Then, I dismiss your claim.

If you can't bother to verify what bullshit you repeat, why should anybody believe you?

This is what propaganda does. Makes claims, won't back it up. "The Mueller report says Trump is guilty" - yeah, what page? What quote? There isn't a page or a quote, because they're lying.

I go through great trouble to back up what I say. You don't. People who lie, can't back up what they say.
