“Smithfield Foods, Inc. today announced that it will cease all harvest and processing operations in Vernon, California in early 2023 and, at the same time, align its hog production system by reducing its sow herd in its Western region,” the company said on Friday in a statement.

Agreed.

My initial reaction was "fuck ya. at least chyna isnt a brainwashed libtard who bends over and takes it in the ass from stupid regulations. let them leave CA and show them what stupid policy does to their tax base."

Then I realized I was rooting for chyna. Chyna buys US companies IMO primarily for influence, and buy companies that they can truly use (i.e. their insatiable pork demand) only as a method to stay under the radar. It would be a clever plan for chyna to use their influence to drive political wedges in americans wherever possible.
