We've used the Bacardi Rum Cake recipe for years. The glaze is amazing.

My Mom used to soak Fruitcakes in Rum in a cake tin. But my favorite way to eat Fruitcake was when it was hot out of the oven. After it got cold and dense, I wasn't as big of a fan.
It is wonderful stuff hot out of the oven. She made rum cakes, but rum soaked fruitcake was her go to thing for hooch enhanced tortes.

I had no idea!
Tug Boat Annie's a local hotspot in here in SF in the late 80's served Rum Runners with a BR 151 topper. The best use for it, I ever saw.
