That is why you hope you at least get a couple of jurists who stand firm on believing in proving guilty beyond any reasonable doubt. They can ensure at least there is a hung jury or mistrial.

The problem is you may get a couple of reasonable minded jurists in Austin who are too afraid to decide not guilty. They fear Woke mob retaliation, doxing, etc.

I think of that recent verdict of the Army solider who was convicted of murder in Austin and now Governor Abbot is looking to pardon him.

You are correct. It's like picking the lessor of two evils in an election though. Rarely does anyone of intelligence get on the jury. It's the attorneys figuring out who can get manipulated the most.

My sister was a county prosecutor. Tried murders. You're looking for people you can manipulate the easiest. That's all there is to it. Nothing you learned in law school. Anyone here could do it.
