The Future was hijacked and planned by the very same type of Despots now controlling the dystopian state of the current reality

Ever since I was a kid, the Future described in books, movies and media, was always a dystopian place. A place that made Freedom loving folks of 50's throughout the 80's wince and recoil at the thought of the notion of a future as portrayed.
Starting with the idea that everyone was going wear Unisex clothes, shaved heads, and your living space would be empty wide open with minimal belongings.
The technology in those early portrayals was impressive but was over shadowed by the oppressive implementation of it. I remember when people were so freaked out by the media's predicted future, they suspected that their CRT Televisions were spying on them. That somehow the CRT tube in the television was a two way mirror, somehow had a camera that could send images of the people watching back to the broadcasters. The electric automated vehicles weren't something you walked out of your home and got into in your garage. But rather some public ride you hail, where your identity could be recognized and the ride could detain you for oppressive authorities to come arrest you for thought and other crimes against the dystopian state.
I remember thinking, none of this will ever happen, technology seems so promising, and this is America. Technology will free people to do more than they ever dreamed. And people will never allow a few to control them through technology. And for a while it was, the internet and the PC marriage in the beginning put so much skill and abilities in the hands of every day people. There wasn't anything that couldn't be done without the addition of a peripheral.
But then when they started giving us the Dick Tracy reality, that's when things started getting more restrictive and Big Brother started becoming a bigger reality. Our cell phones were the straw the broke the camels back as it were. That's where we let our guard down and gave up on safe guarding our privacy from dystopia.

So did those early future visionaries plan on a high tech future being hell on earth, or did were they just warning us, or is it now simply a case of Assholes imitating Art.
Sort of like the Clowns in the woods idiots, playing dress up trying to convince everyone that "IT" is real?

Even look at Back to the Future trilogy. When Marty McFly was the only one with future tech(In the late 50's), then the Hoverboard seemed cool, and beneficial. But when he was in the future, in BTF 2, technology was burden and the future was an oppressive dystopia.

New technology only seems cool and desirable when it's new and cutting edge. Just look at every tech gadget and PC advancement from 1995 to now.
Those new products and technologies coming out at the time, was far more exciting then than now. The fanfare that goes along with new tech and devices, seems to diminish as time goes on. The optimism has been replaced with caution and alarm.

Because of exploding hoverboards and heart stopping vaxxes.

In the late 80's and early to mid 90's I was all but convinced that we were at the gates of curing cancer. Most people I knew that got cancer scares all recovered and lived for decades after. Especially there was a push to discover Cancer early, there was a great emphasis on early detection. Many older people I knew got diagnosed with various stages of Cancer, I would think. "Oh they are a goner now." but most pulled through. Now the last decade or so, people I know with stage one and two that go on to have it do them in.
Our medical system has gone backwards in so many ways. The more technology introduced, the less capable knowlegable Doctors and Nurses with the skill and education. Now so much of our medical industry depends on what the drug manufacturers and medical device vendors tell them, on how to use their products.

Now providers and insurers, are trying to tell everyone, not to worry about screening. They have a one size fits all scheduling if you're not of a certain sex and age and other demographic factors they wont cover them. Even if your Doctor raises an alarm and says you need those screenings. We're being looked after by administrators with self interests, rather than cured by the healers.

Exactly. There's no wisdom in the mainstream medical industry anymore because the insurance companies and pharmaceuticals have taken over with "science". Today's doctors literally go by the book and that book is written by those entities.
