Some people like to smoke pot and do other harmful things such as drive drunk or do drugs. I say they either go live in the woods and do all the drugs they want. But if they choose to live in a city, they need to keep those deviances down... that includes drugs, homosexuality, and all other stupid crap they like to do in public.

Lots to discuss here, but I'll stick with the marijuana.
Why do you care if someone smokes a doobie in their city apartment? How does that affect you enough that you should feel justified in making it illegal? Also, why is it exactly that you consider marijuana use deviant? Is alcohol also deviant? Smoking? Caffeine?

Are these things ok if they are kept indoors? Or do they have to be taken to the woods?
I don't care what people do in their homes. I'm just getting cranky and upset with all those teenagers that drive around a little too fast on our residential street, smoke pot in their cars, leave trash outside and endanger everyone.

because invariably they go out for the requisite pizza, and the moment they set foot outside their door, they are a hazard to the general public either driving or walking to their pie of choice.
That's why the 'woods' option is much better. It is not easy for them to interact with the public while high.
For that matter, that option should be modified to the "deep woods"...

It's not the 'use' that's deviant.
It's the interaction with the general public.
Like any other mind altering drug, they should all be consumed in the deep woods.
Also, why is it exactly that you consider marijuana use deviant?

Driving - completely agree. Walking and otherwise interacting with the general public? I suppose if they are stoned out of their gourd they might pose a problem just crossing a street -- but at that point it would be pretty obvious and a PI ticket would be warranted.
As far as the danger or inconvenience that the public gets saddled with because of the stoners - probably on par with that of the old people.
