GOP vs DNC has basically lead to this:



We always end up with the worst possible scenario because both parties do not cooperate and tribalism is killing the country. The funny part is in a poll on Sanctuary Cities given by Gallup, most GOP and Independents do not support the policies, but because Democrats feel they MUST support DNC politicians no matter what they do in some sort of zombie mind hive action, they end up voting against their own interest.

I’ve supported the Pauls since 2008, and voted for Ron when I could. He got completely robbed twice.
Rand is really making waves lately and all in the right direction. I don’t think that DC swamp even knows what to do with a man of principle.
I’d like to see Trump stand down in 2020 and Rand step up.

I donated a bit to his campaign. Problem was only a guy like Trump could beat the leftoid soy-latte hyenas into submission with clever ZFG and MAGA game. The left ganged up on Ron Paul back then as well successfully. That's why I am reasonably happy with Trump though Rand Paul was my favorite. Anything but the left.

Just put a 5 cent rule-every department cuts 5 cent for every dollar spent. That will bring in about 150 billion per year i think?

The guy was beloved by leftist for decades for fucks sake; he was interviewed by Oprah, given his own TV show by NBC, and took pictures with Jesse Jackson. He only became racist when it was clear that he would take power from the DNC establishment.

The regressive left loves to go after people who try to reason with them or even back down when facing bullshit allegations such as raycysm/misogyny. The Pauls in their calm and composed and relatively mild manner did that and got beaten down. Trump was the only option to avoid a complete disaster. Ironically once the left regains anybody with logical and mannered reasoning skills who doesn't want to sell out their country that will be the time when Libertarians may rise again as well and possibly even make deals with both sides.

The deficit is going to be 1 trillion this year not 150 billion. No one sent you the memo?

Rand Paul is right about the Republicans being just as profligate spenders as the democrats. It's just that Republicans spend it on the military and Democrats spend it on social programs.

If this is the case why the system settles into two-party mode shortly after the status-quo is disrupted? We always have two major parties even though they are not the same two parties.

I feel it's because people in general tend to vote against their own interest. Most Democrats know unrestricted illegal immigration will only make things worse, I know this, most of my wife's family is left leaning, I'm the only moderate at their parties. When I explain to them why illegal immigration is bad, 99% of the time they agree. Yet they vote Democrat.

Same with GOP'ers. Most GOP'ers I know don't want anymore foreign involvement in the Middle east, or expansion of our military bases into other countries, and they don't care about people being able to responsibly use weed. But they still vote strictly GOP despite these beliefs.

Even in super far left California, 1/3 of the voting bloc identifies as independent. Not many people know this. But because of the two party system, you end up voting for the party that is LESS repulsive to your personal beliefs even if you only agree with 51% of their platform.

Wouldn't it be nice if their was a party for the independents who believed in liberty and freedom for both sides and not restricting the rights of those they don't agree with?

Would be nice IMO, and it would make politics better because the extremist would get pushed out easier.

Now some may say, "Well wouldn't 3 parties vying for power weaken the strength and unity of Government?"

Hell yes. I want a smaller, and less powerful government.
