Here's the truth.Nailed it. It's depressing to see the Left look for any glimpse of victimization because being a victim is comforting, as opposed to accepting that you're just not any good or can't perform/compete against the next guy. It's classic skirting of accountability for one's life, actions, decisions and outcomes.
People are much better at making excuses than working hard.
These people tend to vote Democrat and accept victim-hood.
These people will almost never, ever succeed in life.

Why would they vote for Trump now?
Why does your friend have to have an "identifier" - why can't your friend just be your "friend" ? Is it necessary for everyone to assign "identifiers" ?
Does your friend assign an "identifier" to you when talking about you or introducing you to others ?
Seems the world would be much better off by stating simply I have a friend. Should further conversation proceed, at an appropriate time it would possibly be appropriate to include such "friend" has done well with his or her investments.
Patrick saysHe's kind of scary looking at first glance, like 6'5" and muscular
Is this a thinly veiled reference to scary "black people" ?
I’ve seen a few of the regulars here suggest that racism doesn’t exist lol
errc saysI’ve seen a few of the regulars here suggest that racism doesn’t exist lol
Sure it exists. We can even quantify it in college/med school applications.
Everyone is out to get him (and them). The media. The deep state. The FBI. The DOJ. Establishment Republicans. You name it.Cuz it's true lol
But the truth seems to change so much. I thought Dems were the elite snobs that looked down upon the average Joe.
Trump supporters really need to make up their mind about which narrative they are going with. Are Dems lazy welfare queens or rich, limousine, soy boys?
Slaves and masters, just like the Democrats of 160 year ago. Nothing has changed.
The US should be a place where everyone has equal opportunity.
Asians sued Harvard for discrimination against them:

Equal rights, not equal outcomes.
PrivilegedtobeWhite saysEqual rights, not equal outcomes.
I agree. But I'd also say that we should take care of our own people. Lots of people are not able to compete for one reason or another. Differences in talent, disease, other unfortunate circumstance.
So the big question is then "Who are our people?"
Diversity divides us. Diversity destroys community. What we need is to get back to a melting pot ideal of a common national culture, so we can all feel we are in it together.
Quigley saysEqual opportunity is a laudable goal, but it’s unattainable.
Well said. There may be laws that state equal rights etc. however reality does not always play by the rules.

Blind pursuit of equality is tyranny
Really? Didn't you vote for Bernie?
Nobody is arguing for equal results.
Great, then you agree that unequal outcomes is perfectly acceptable
For example, I'm glad you agree the income variations between sexes and races is perfectly acceptable in a liberal society.
Since you agree w the above I'm sure you agree that affirmative action is terrible for everyone and should end, whether on our college campuses, or in any employment arena.
If it's shown that it is no longer needed and minorities are given the same opportunities
You can't prove this
You can however prove that all people have the same rights (except for whites, men, and conservatives who are currently fighting systemic oppression) and that less qualified women and minorities consistently take opportunities from more qualified candidates.
How about we try treating everyone the same? Ya know, embrace actual liberal values
CBOEtrader saysHow about we try treating everyone the same? Ya know, embrace actual liberal values
Yes, how about it. Let's do it.
A great myth that the Left believes is that all races and genders have the same abilities and should have the same opportunity to be successful. Blacks, in general, may not be as built or tuned to have software engineer jobs for example, but they sure as hell dominate the NFL and NBA. The same goes for women and STEM...maybe they just don't have a desire to be in technical fields because their brains or personalities aren't drawn to it. Genders and races are NOT the same, so don't expect the same outcomes.
So you mean we should get rid of preferential treatment for blacks and Hispanics? Currently they have much greater educational and employment opportunities than whites or Asians do, which is easily proven by looking at the test scores they need for admission to universities, or the qualifications they need to get a job.

He's kind of scary looking at first glance, like 6'5" and muscular, but that's just appearance. He's actually very pleasant to talk to, which you quickly figure out if you chat with him.
So I asked him if discrimination had been any significant impediment to his self-achieved success, and he doesn't seem to have an answer for that. Clearly it didn't stop him. My conclusion is that most of the hype about discrimination is bullshit. If you're motivated and stay on track, this country still works, no matter where you came from.
Dude, if you're reading this, very happy to get your perspective too.
