The Bitcoin haters are in disbelief

Remember when the haters told us: Bitcoin will go to zero? Bitcoin will go back down to 1.2k?

https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/06/investing/bitcoin-price-george-soros/index.html
"Bitcoin soars past $55,000 on George Soros fund endorsement"

The mid-cycle correction had the bears/BTC haters belief its all over for the bull market. LOL, once agaaaain Bitcoin slapped the haters left and right.

It's official, just in time for Christmas... web3
Crypto, which has also been rebranded as the less foreboding web3, may be no different from past speculative bubbles like subprime mortgages or the tulip craze of the 17th century, skeptics said. Much of the mania, they said, was being driven by a desire to get rich quick by trading an asset class that often seemed based on internet jokes.

The guys who bought bitcoin for $64 grand don’t feel like they “won big”.

Still believe bitcoin going to the moon this year?
68   Tenpoundbass   2022 Jan 14, 11:37am

I really want to jump in on LGB coin, it's attractive at $0.0000005457, put about $600 on that, and if it ever becomes worth .01 cents.
It will be worth $60,000 bucks, if it gets to a dollar, $600K.

That's the only way I would play with digital currency, and of course the plan would be to pull out as soon as those milestones are realized.

I do. Maybe Q3/Q4. Give it some time.

Trying to time the price is a mistake. What you want to look at is the rate the network is growing. Right now it's approximately the same size and about double the rate of the internet in the mid to late 90s and is the fastest uptake of any technology in history. Price will take care of itself; for anyone looking to stash a tiny net worth percentage into it long term they probably won't regret it.

CBDC is what people should be concerned about and this is some great news if it ever happens: https://decrypt.co/90301/tom-emmer-fed-reserve-digital-currency-cbdc?source=patrick.net

yep, everyone should allocate a few percentage of their net worth in crypto and HODL.

Who else is loading up the truck with precious coins?

Matic, Dot, ADA, ETH, BTC

We've come a long way....years ago crypto bears told us it will go to zero. Fast forward and Elon Musk and even countries are buying Bitcoin :) I'll never get tired of winning :)

Bitcoin moved from its recent low of 33k to over 42k in a short amount of time. As always, the haters quickly got silenced. Usually, the haters come out in droves when Bitcoin corrects. As soon as it moves back up they all disappear.

Can you share where the haters come out and hate when Bitcoin corrects to $33k recently?

Yep, look up OV's thread where the haters spread misinformation about Bitcoin. When Bitcoin is up, silence. When Bitcoin is down, the haters put the cheerleader gear on.
Has been going on for year now. We could almost qualify that thread as an indicator of where the Bitcoin price momentum is.

$44,000 not too bad today, the guys who paid $64,000 are starting to relax 😉💰

I don't know about those guys who bought at 69 though!

Actually, because you don't need a stupid bloomberg terminal, the block chain is open for all to see - you can see that a lot of those people who bought at the peak freaked out and sold at a loss..
85   PeopleUnited   2022 Feb 8, 5:41am

If you want to know what drives the value of crypto long term, look at the percentage of the population that owns it. As that percentage increases, so do “values” of crypto. The question is will that trend continue, and even if it does, is it not a ponzu scheme where rising prices depend on drawing in more buyers.

Absolutely, Bitcoin and crypto is going mainstream and is becoming just another asset class.
We even have a Bitcoin ETF now and Arizona wants to make it legal tender.

Not only will more people invest in crypto but even companies hold it on their balance sheet. Did you know Tesla bought billions of dollars worth in Bitcoin in order to HODL?
87   Bitcoin   2022 Feb 10, 9:16am

Its quiet around the Bitcoin hate here.......Ah, I see, Bitcoin recovered from 33k to 45k (today) in a short amt of time. Silence by the haters. Business as usual.

This shows that crypto is a threat to the elite, and that crypto exchanges are subject to the same kind of politically motivated oppression that banks are.

The idea of crypto is good and solid, imho, but the difficulty is in exchanging crypto for currency and real world goods. That's its weak point.

The thing here is that it's not a finished good yet. In our current system of things, there'll need to be a bunch of intermediary companies, swapping crypto for gold, silver, or cash (USD, EUR, GBP) and then, alternate companies which can provide end user services, without needing the middle man of a bank.

And thus, just like with VPN, ppl won't know the identity of the end user and be able to put a political hit on him.
90   Tenpoundbass   2022 Mar 2, 3:30pm

Yeah because the Fed would never sieze the Bitcoin operation and shut it down, and some Wokester Shitass that Mitch McConnel and Lindsey Graham will surely confirm that Joe Biden nominates to some post, would never tell the banks to "Don't convert digital currency to Cash."

You guys all know, that all it takes to kill Bitcoin and all digital currency is for one or two countries to outlaw trading their currency for Bitcoin?

I wouldn't put it past a Biden nominee to do just that, as the economy tanks and people reject the banks. All they have to do is outlaw selling Digital Currency for money.

That's going to be a problem. Crypto is not a threat to IRS as long as it changes hands within the perimeter and only within the perimeter. But if there's a path through which it escapes while keeping owner's identity anonymous, then I suspect that there will be all kinds of efforts coming from the very top to make that stop. Little things such as pizzas don't matter, but bigger ticket items do. I suspect that this was the real reason why Musk stopped selling cars for bitcoins.

Not particularly. People can trade bitcorn P2P.

It's still early days Pat. Give the globohomos a bit more time to drive more people to it.

Right, I wasn't discounting your article - I'm sure they are trying to use that new system too. But a LOT of SWIFT blocks are worked around by phone calls. Our corporate media never mentions that when they speak of sanctions.

I’m guilty too, but talking about crypto is like talking about jerking off.
