I sat in a park for two hours and managed to talk to only 4 people because it was kind of empty.
At first I said "Are you opposed to vaccine mandates?" and all three said no. The forces of corporate authoritarianism control most minds around here.
Then I said "Do you think people should be free to choose what goes into their bodies?" and at least got a pleasant conversation out of it, but still no signature.
good work but either California is so brainwashed ( they really are obsessed with corona) or dumb. I don't have any hope for California identity politics is too strong too.
I think media is the main way the "proper opinions" are installed into people, and so think effort spent there probably yields more bang for the buck. Grassroots organizing seems very difficult to scale to meaningful levels.
But maybe this is exactly the place I can have the most impact.
You need to go to the Latino areas. Talk to those people. They’re fed up. Especially talk to the men. Any blue collar neighborhood should be ripe for signatures for school choice.
