My teenage daughter has decided that she is “trans”. So have all her friends. Not some of them. Not most of them. Every. Single. One.

She had never heard of trans, and had no signs of gender dysphoria, until she was moved to a new, cool trans-friendly school by her unsuspecting, politically liberal parents. There she met a group of geeky (or dare I say nerdy?), smart, slightly (but not very) gender nonconforming, artsy kids. As I understand it, they all discovered “trans” together. The old “cis” friends were swiftly discarded in favour of this exciting new peer group.

Exploring “trans stuff” online with friends is a source of great interest and excitement—a real social event. What’s not to love about 245 gender identities, complete with their own unique flags? Then there are those cool neo-pronouns. Forcing your out-of-touch old parents to refer to you as “ze” or “ey” (how do you pronounce that again??) in the name of “inclusivity” is just too delicious to resist. The manga, the cute avatars in computer games, the blue or pink hair—all part of the fun as well. Mocking the outgroup (in this case so-called “cis” people in general and the dreaded TERFs in particular) is also good for a laugh—especially if they happen to be your parents as well.

There is even a special vocabulary with lots of new terms—deadnaming, misgendering, sex assigned at birth, and much more. If these concepts need to be explained to your uncool parents (accompanied by eye rolls of course), so much the better.

Bonding with friends, searching for their identity and place in life, working out their sexuality, separating from family—these are all normal developmental tasks for teens. For many, youth subcultures can be a natural part of that. Some are harmless. Some, like drug use and extreme dieting, not so much. But in the case of the latter, sensible adults usually intervene to help steer the young people in the right direction. Not in the case of trans. Here we have adults steering kids down a dangerous path, which involves permanent, life altering drugs and surgeries for which there is no good evidence base.

For many of these kids, LGBTQ+ is a youth subculture. It really is as simple as that. Recent surveys have been identifying skyrocketing rates of “trans” or “queer” identification in young people. One found that an astonishing 39% of young adults in the US aged between 18-24 identified with the label LGBT—the figure for teens <18 may well be even higher. Of course this figure includes gay and lesbian people as well as those identifying as trans. Another poll, which looked only at gender, found that nearly 10% of US high schoolers identified as “gender diverse”. Yet another survey gives a lower figure of 1.8%. Whichever figure is correct, this is a huge explosion in numbers over a very short period of time. As endocrinologist Dr Will Malone asks; “How do we reconcile these numbers with 2013 data reporting the prevalence of adult gender dysphoria to be a rare 2-14 in 100,000?”

Social contagion and the development of a new youth subculture, that’s how.

Clinicians are speaking out in increasing numbers, sounding the alarm about the viral spread of trans identification. As far back as 2019, psychiatrists had begun to sound the alarm. Dr Lisa Littman’s much maligned study, published in 2018, documented parent reports of the phenomenon. Even gender clinicians are now beginning to become alarmed and are speaking out about the epidemic of trans identification among youth.

Canadian sexologist Debra Soh has bluntly (but accurately in my view) opined that the increase in LGB identification among youth is at least partly due to trendiness. To be fair, for kids who were previously struggling to fit in, suddenly being part of the latest trend must be intoxicating.

100%.

The author of that article needs to actually be a parent and pull their daughter out of the crappy school they are sending her to. Go private or homeschool if you must. The trans agenda is screwing a lot of kids over for life. Drug use, STD's, and a lowered self esteem usually crop up in this group.

My neighbors have 3 girls in the local public high school. 3-4 years ago, the girls were fantastic and had the respect of their friends and community. Now the kids have LGBTQWXYZ stickers on their cars. One is 18, one is 14, the youngest is 12. All of them are sexually active and promiscuous. I know this from my neighbor who has kids in the same school as them. It's a dehumanizing effort to reprogram our youth into worthless beings.

Don't let your kids fall into this trap of retardedness.

I'm sorry to hear it. It's an epidemic mental illness now, spread by schools and media.

We have friends whose daughter also caught that particular mental illness.

Maybe this book will has some good insights:

Blech.

I was completely disgusted this morning, April 22, 2022.

In a supermarket in San Jose this morning, doing the weekly grocery shopping. Kept running into/passing by, a these folks: A youngish (white) man wearing a Chicago Cubs baseball cap, 35-40 years old. Had a four-ish year old kid with him. The kid was fidgety like so many that age. The man might have been (probably was?) his dad. Kept telling the kid stuff like, "no, we don't need that (item)", "we'll get one later", etc. Very normal sort of stuff. Both the kid and the man were "handsome", golden locks with curls. The man inserted words like "dude', "guy", "sir" into his chats with the kid. It was clear to me that the kid was a boy.

What was not normal, or at least I didn't think so: under his sweatshirt, the kid wore a flower-print dress. Had leggings on, like we see on little girls that age all the time. Back in the day, I dressed my daughter with such "leggings", under her dress. Also wearing the girlie-est sneakers you ever did see. The design on the sneakers matched the dress.

You know, I fully support Civil Rights for homosexuals (ahem, homosexuals, - not "gays"). I know so many of them. They mind their own business, don't flaunt their sexuality. Fine upstanding members of our community. Leave them alone, Civil Rights and all that.

But what I saw this morning really rubbed me the wrong way. If my son (yes, I have one) wanted to dress like that I would (lovingly) discourage it and certainly not take him to the supermarket dressed like that.

It was disgusting.
9   Patrick   2022 Apr 22, 4:55pm

I bet the mother is the one pushing the dress on the boy.
10   Onvacation   2022 Apr 22, 7:12pm

When I was seven, I wanted to marry my best friend, a boy. My older brother told me that was wrong. Thankfully I wasn't born later or I might be more fucked up than I already am.

Little kids don't understand their sexuality.
11   Patrick   2022 Apr 22, 7:20pm

And if little kids are molested by gays at that age, they will really have problems later.
12   Onvacation   2022 Apr 22, 7:38pm

I remember running across my foster father's stack of Playboys when I was 5 years old. I remember looking at the naked women and getting a boner. I thought I had to pee.

My foster mother caught me looking and thought it was time to teach me about the birds and the bees. It made no sense.

Kids are going to learn about sex but it should not (it will happen earlier) happen until they reach adolescence, and even then it should be discouraged until adulthood.

I lost my virginity to an experienced thirteen year old when I was sixteen. No regrets but that girl grew up into a very messed up woman.

It's really fucked up how sexualized and promiscuous our youth has become.

We know one family with a girl through local school who is A+ student in academics, sports and music and performed at top premier place in NY city on invitation. Came to know that she acts differently and says she is not a girl any more in the school!? I am not sure if the parents are aware of it. I know schools around constantly pushing this toxic gander stuff and doing disservice to the community.

I think you might be able to blame Gen-X for doing this. We were rebels in many ways, but we may have rebelled against things we shouldn't have.

I don't regret the Internet though. I still think we can overthrow the oligarchy with it.

I'm struggling with this right now. Too personal to post details. Let's just say this. Transitioning from youth to adolescents to adulthood was confusing and difficult when there were two genders. Now kids are groomed to belive there are who knows how many gender "identities" and transitioning has a whole new meaning.

This is not the America I grew up in.

Edit / Rant: Is it like this in other parts of the country? Or even in other countries? Has liberalism moved so far to the left that almost anything goes? I don't see how one can hide from this, the Trans "momvent" is pervasive in popular culture right now.

Look I'd your 30 something, fine, you do you. But a teenager? Or even a 20 something? They are still trying to figure out who they are, and for a range of reasons, kids these days feel compelled to choose a tribe.. that is to say a gender identity, complete with its own language (pronouns) and flag... its crazy. And the "in" thing to do right now. I try to come from a place of love and understanding, but it's still an uphill battle to point put the patent absurdity of some of it... I'm just a "homophobe" because I disagree with your world view on gender and sexuality... or so I've been told.

A nerdy, bookish girl of a work colleague announced she was really a boy a few years ago.

She is the poster child for the Smiths Listening, Nancy Drew Book Reading, quiet little nerdy girl. There is nothing in the least or remote fashion masculine about her. She definitely never took a punch or fought somebody over GTO vs. Camaro.

I suspect ALOT of it is a hideout for nerdy/awkward girls to bail out of romance/sexual scenarios with a good excuse like College Lesbian used to be.

And a lot of it is a desperately ploy for awkward/antisocial guys to sneak into women's areas and hopefully get some sympathy action by being "safe" for an experimental minded girl.

It's a witch hunt/Tulip Madness type deal, pumped to the moon by educators and licensed Socialist workers

It’s sort of like gun laws.

Any inch that’s given becomes the new negotiation starting point for next time there’s some high profile story about gun violence.

This is why the NRA doesn’t give an inch… and other than agreeing that LGBTQ should be protected under the same laws as everyone else, they shouldn’t get another inch beyond that.

It’s at the point where I’m accused of being bigoted because I don’t loudly celebrate a lifestyle. That’s insane.

“ I have no sensation in my crotch region at all.

You could stab me with a knife and I wouldn't know. The entire area is numb, like it's shell shocked and unable to comprehend what happened, even 4 years on.

I tore a sutra 4 days post recovery, they promised to address it, i begged them in emails to fix it, they scorned me instead.

Years later, I have what looks like a chunk of missing flesh next to my neo-vagina, it literally looks like someone hacked at me.

They still wont fix it

No one told me that the base area of your penis is left, it can't be removed - meaning you're left with a literal stump inside that twitches.

When you take Testosterone and your libido returns, you wake up with morning wood, without the tree.

I wish this was a joke

And if you do take testosterone after being post op, you run the risk of internal hair in the neo-vagina. Imagine dealing with internal hair growth after everything?

What a choice... be healthy on Testosterone and a freak, or remain a sexless eunuch.

And thats something that will never come back and one of the reason why i got surgery.

My sex drive died about 6 months on HRT and at the time I was glad to be rid of it, but now 10 years later, Im realising what [I'm] missing out on and what I won't get back.

Because even if i had a sex drive, my neo vagina is so narrow and small, i wouldn't even be able to have sex if i wanted too.

And when I do use a small dilator, I have random pockets of sensation that only seem to pick up pain, rather than pleasure.

Any pleasure I do get comes from the Prostate that was moved forward and wrapped in glands from the penis, meaning anal sex isn['t] possible and can risk further damage.

Then theres the dreams. I dream often, that I have both sets of genitals, in the dream I'm distressed I have both, why both I think? I tell myself to wake up because I know it['s] just a dream.

And I awaken into a living nightmare.”

In those moments of amnesia as I would wake, I would reach down to my crotch area expecting something that was there for 3 decades, and it's not.

My heart skips a beat, every single damn time.

Then theres the act of going to the toilet. It takes me about 10 minutes to empty my bladder, it's extremely slow, painful and because it dribbles no matter how much i relax, it will then just go all over that entire area, leaving me soake[d].

So after cleaning myself up, I will find moments later that my underwear is wet - no matter how much I wiped, it slowly drips out for the best part of an hour.

I never knew at 35 I ran the risk like smelling like p*** everywhere I went.

Now i get to the point where [I'm] detransitioned and the realisation that this is permanent is catching up with me.

During transition, I was obsessive and deeply unwell, I cannot believe they were allowed to do this to me, even after all the red flags.

I wasn't even asked if I wanted to freeze sperm or want kids. In my obsessive, deeply unwell state they just nodded along and didn['t] tell me the realities, what life would be like.

And finally, theres dilation, which is like some sort of demonic ceremony where you impale yourself for 20 agonising minutes to remind you of your own stupidity.

This isn't even the half of it. And this isn't regret either, this is grief and anger.

F*** everyone who let this happen.“

So we are supposed to feel bad for a guy who willingly chopped his cornbread and biscuits off?

How about let’s feel bad for the 20 million black babies aborted by their own mother in the past 50 or so years, or the 60 million total killed by abortion in the USA. At least those children are innocent. This guy is just a doodipshit. Got just what he deserved, he at least got to live the life of his own choosing.

There's a very important reason for stopping gay and trans people from brainwashing children; they can get "confused" or influenced by them in unhealthy ways.

I know this from personal experience with a girl who is just 30 years old.

Her father wished for a son and he constantly tried to make her masculine.
She told me the various ways, I can't recall but at the time I told her it was unjust.

She had some confusion growing up and her crazy father caused it, which is criminal.

She was happy that she was a girl and not thinking of herself as a boy.

She's cute but very "thick" and can look less hot than other girls so she has had limited dating success.

I reassured her even hot girls have difficulty and it goes with the territory.

From the article that our fearless leader posted:
Other sexual orientations have seen massive increases. "Since Fall 2010, Brown’s LGBTQ+ population has expanded considerably. The gay or lesbian population has increased by 26% and the percentage of students identifying as bisexual has increased by 232%," the student newspaper reported. "Students identifying as other sexual orientations within the LGBTQ+ community have increased by 793%."

The idea of LGBT identification as a social contagion is one that continues to draw criticism among academics. For example, the head of an academic journal that published a paper that supported the theory of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria faced a cancellation attempt, along with the Northwestern University professor who wrote the paper.

Coincidentally, Dr. Lisa Littman, who popularized the idea of Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria, once taught at Brown University before being forced out over the controversy.

Dr. Littman argued that some girls who identified as transgender were doing so due to peer pressure from within their social circles. The 38% identification tracks with research from the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, which found similar levels among elite colleges.

I couldn't imagine being able to be pressured into denying basic reality itself.
