So did Obama get his ass handed to him in Ohio, too?
Ohio voters overwhelmingly passed a ballot measure barring laws requiring them to buy health insurance.

No he did not because the healthcare ballot measure is irrelevant since federal law trumps state law. It is unconstitutional and will be blocked by a federal judge the moment Eric Holder sues Ohio.
And in Maine, voters rejected a GOP voter suppression bill that banned same day voter registration.
And, let's not forget that "conservative" Mississippians rejected the latest ploy by Republicans/Conservatives/Libertarians/Teabaggers to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Another victory for Democrats who support a woman's right to choose.
Wow, if you're a Republican, you can't run on anti-union rhetoric, you can't run on anti-abortion rhetoric, and you can't run on anti-teacher rhetoric, what's left to run on?
Maybe they'll stick to guns and anti-gay rhetoric...
What I meant was is that when state law conflicts with federal law, federal law prevails. So in this case, the Ohio ballot measure is unconstitutional and must be voided by a court.
"Yesterday was an off-year election. Since most conservatives are productive members of society, most are working and don't bother voting in off-year elections."
So was 2009, when Republicans elected Christie and McDonnell as governors. If conservatives don't vote in off year elections, then Corzine should still be governor of NJ.
I could definitely see Democrats controlling both houses of Congress next year. Many GOP Senators like Scott Brown and Dean Heller are very vulnerable. You also have a lot of freshmen in the House who could lose thanks to re-districting. The Democrats in Illinois and California are going to make it super difficult for Republicans to win. One Republican whose district is being abolished is Joe Walsh (R-Deadbeat Dad).
and abortion. Oh, and they will also PRETEND that they want to stop illegal immigration.
Hey shrek/ Mars Attcks, in case you missed it, your precious Republicans got their butts handed to them yesterday by the Democrats and Unions.
First they lost on Issue 2 in Ohio, which would hae repealed colelctive bargaining for govt. workers.
Next they lost a recall election in Michigan of an anti teacher politican (see: http://www.freep.com/article/20111109/NEWS15/111109038/Michigan-Republicans-vow-reclaim-seat-recalled-state-Rep-Paul-Scott?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext%7CFRONTPAGE )
And finally, in New Jersey, Chris Christie and his Republicans did not gain a single seat in the state Senate or Assembly. In fact, they lost a seat (see: http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-11-09/christie-says-election-no-big-shocker-blames-political-map.html )
There were more Republican defeats, but you get the idea...
