Ron Paul is doing a horrible job explaining away the newsletters. He needs to answer the following questions:

1. Who wrote the newsletters?

2. Why do one of them contain his signature (see: http://graphics.thomsonreuters.com/11/12/Solicitation2.pdf )

3. Why didn't he read them before they were sent out?

4. How much money did he make from these newsletters, and when does he plan on donating that money?

Few more links if anyone wishes to peruse more:

2. http://reason.com/archives/2008/01/16/who-wrote-ron-pauls-newsletter

It looks like some kind of a political strategy that the ghostwriter(s) thought would work at that time, I guess.

This website ( http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h1979-624 ) states he voted for MLK day.

I agree, he needs to come clean. his statements are not very persuasive.

1. I wrote a lot of the newsletter articles.

2. It contains his signature because Ron Paul has a terrible habit of signing shit put in front of him. He is the first doctor in America to graduate with a legible signature, and he's very proud of it.

3. Ron Paul doesn't read. He gets all of his information downloaded directly into his brain using the metal colander he straps to his head every night at 3:23am.

4. He made no money off of the newsletters, because fiat money does not exist. He received fourteen hundred chickens, ten pieces of copper, and a slave for payment.
