I'm just saying that California is notoriously aggressive about classifying people as CA residents.

As is New York.

I haven't heard a peep from CA in 3 years. I made sure to remove myself from the voting rolls quickly though. Mostly so someone can't vote for me.

That and I'm a small fry as far as taxes are concerned.

My VPN is still hitting LA though, partly out of laziness. So I get lots of commercials and political adds on Roku from that godforsaken hell hole.

I'm pretty sure that https://www.calwater.com/ does NOT measure your water usage, since our meter is buried. Maybe they installed a wireless water meter long ago, but I doubt it. I think they just make up a random number around $100 each month.

Maybe PGE does similar things.

The last time I had Cal Water service was around 9 years ago. I’m a data guy so I consistently checked the in-ground meter dials to the numbers they put on the bills. They were really consistent, typically within 1CCF of when I checked them.

That's a huge area of voter fraud in my opionion. Brainwashed college kids are marched en-mass to registration signups. Do these kids bother to change their out-of-state drivers' licences? Probably not. Doesn't matter. After 5 or 6 years they graduate (that's how long it takes the brain-dead to get a bachelors degree in lesbian dance these days). They might leave the state and never bother to un-register. So now huge numbers of ballots are mailed to school addresses. You're living in a dorm and receive 4 or 5 ballots in your mailbox. You know they are from previous occupants. You know that "Trump is Hitler" and anything is justified to make sure he isn't reelected. In fact, you know any Republican ideas are death to America so voting a straight Democrat ticket is your civic duity. So... just fill out all the ballots and send them in.

What would it take to catch such voter fraud? First, the state would actually have to care. Even after that, the state would need witnesses that saw you filling out the ballots, signing the ballots, and returning the ballots. Then it's just the word of a witness to an already-compromised jury. In reality, nobody is going to see you signing the ballots in privaciy of own dorm room or mailing them back — given that the drop-box cameras are all disconnected and you're wearing a WuFlu mask. Heck, there's no way to even prove that the mailed ballots came from the university's drop box, since that information is promptly destroyed in the shredding of the envelop before the signature is (not) validated.

Notice how various states refuse to give the federal government their voter rolls. Gosh, I wonder how many duplicate social security numbers would be found for voters registered in multiple states. One of the areas of fraud receiently revieled in Minnesota was people claiming home-state benefits in multiple states.

On April 29, 1988, 100 photojournalists coordinated a statewide time capsule capture of A Day in the Life of California.

I recently acquired a copy to take a peek back into the past.

For some historical context, when Hart-Cellar was enacted in 1965, California was approximately 83% White.

By Reagan’s Mass Amnesty of 1986, that number had fallen by double digits.

In 1994, frustrating with immigration would get so bad that a Ballot Initiative, circumventing the Democrat Government, passed with 59% of the vote to block illegal aliens from receiving public benefits in California. It was struck down as unconstitutional by a single Federal District Court Judge, and since the State was controlled by a Democrat Governor, no effort was made to appeal.

By 2000, the White population of California would fall to half of its percentage from 1965. Today it is in the 35% range.

Isn't that what AI is for? It's free, so they get everyone's data and information, and train people to think the way AI wants them to. And it's everywhere, new bubble.

AI screws up big-time even on subjects where the training information is accurate, so just imagine how bad it will get when the AI is "nudged" in a certain leftist way (i.e.: Google AI's generated pictures of the Founding Fathers ... and mothers and ????s of all colors, shapes, and sizes).

Then imagine when the next generation of AI is trained on the junk from the current AI. Gives a whole new level of "garbage in garbage out."
403   FortWayneHatesRealtors   @   2026 Feb 23, 8:31pm

I don’t know AI, but I understand incentives well. They are giving it away free, it means you are the product. You are feeding it if you are using it. It probably can’t work well without being fed. Big tech companies, they are selfish types, they don’t do free unless they have to. And free is because they have to.

I don’t trust it. It’s like a new Facebook, fun until they pull a rug from under you.
404   Ceffer   @   2026 Feb 24, 10:06am

It does seem to be the standard model. Introduce AI as a handy servant until everybody is used to it and it become ubiquitous, then use it to fuck the population in the ass.

And credit cards instead of cash.

Google, Facebook, AI, phones, credit cards: all used to compile a dossier on what you think, whom you talk to, and where you are right now.

The good news is that that same tech is collected massive dossiers on the whole Epstein cabal too.
408   Booger   @   2026 Feb 25, 2:09pm

In California, 200 people cover 47% of all tax revenue.

Of $265B collected, $122B comes from that group alone.

They control $2T in assets—and if they leave, nearly half the state’s revenue walks out with them.

https://www.reformcalifornia.org/news/ca-democrats-refuse-to-block-middle-class-savings-tax

For the past three months, Democrat activists have collected signatures on a controversial initiative to create a new “Savings Tax” in California that would allow government to take a percentage of an individual’s savings, stocks, retirement and home equity each year.

While Democrats claim they only want to apply the tax to “billionaires,” Reform California Chairman and State Assemblymember Carl DeMaio are calling BS on those claims.

This week DeMaio exposed the truth when he took to the Assembly floor and demanded an immediate vote on a constitutional amendment that would have permanently blocked politicians from imposing a new “Savings Tax” on middle-class Californians.

Democrats voted NO—refusing to protect middle-class families’ savings, home equity, and retirement accounts.

If there were another location where I could have nearly the same Mediterranean weather (warm/hot summers, low humidity, 300+ sunny days per year) and lower cost of living than in Northern California Foothills, I'd be there in a heartbeat. All the other similar places are just as expensive or worse: prove me wrong.
