But you're the one "Bullying" you don't agree with people so you're attacking them.
Why don't people like you, just go to the MSNBC headquarters, go around back to the outdoor spigot, turn it on full blast, tilt your head upside down and place your mouth over the tap, and just suck it all in.
Why waste your time on a site like this, where you might learn an alternate way to view things, other than the manufactured Liberal news sewage.

Is that in the TOS??

Again, when was the last time you thought of someone else?

Terms of Service. Good Idea! If one exists, I have not seen it nor immediately found it.

Venturing out, maybe there will be an open house to wreak more havoc later..

Aren't the likes and dislikes weighted according to "ignore"s?

Most of the members who would give the "most liked" more "dislikes" have them on ignore so they can no longer dislike them. Otherwise, they would be giving them a lot more dislikes.

Doesn't one "ignore" count for 40 or 50 "dislikes"?

As pathetic, gratuitous, obnoxious, vile, ridiculous, irredeemable, antagonistic, revolting, childish, foul and gross as I have been, I have only gotten one ignore.

Turtledove, a soccer mom, has one ignore.

Elliemae, a kindly social worker who writes books about helping the elderly and disabled, and helps them to negotiate the byzantine, punishing gauntlet of government/nursing home bureaucratic services, has 4 ignores.

I guess I have to sink to the lowest of the low and start pointing out Sandy Hook photoshopped pictures.

Where's Leo when you need him?

Yeah what's up with the hate on EllieMae though? How can you look at those trusting eyes and panting anxiety to please and click dislike?

Elliemae in the top ten of most disliked? She seems like such a sweet person?

I used to Like elliemae's comments a lot but she can turn surprisingly nasty. It might be due to her meds, or the pain from her arthritis, or a combination. I don't hate her, but some of her comments are so delusional that I have Disliked those. She has racked up more than a thousand Dislikes; I can't claim credit for more than a tiny fraction of those, but I can guess that other people probably reacted the same way.

Elliemae...has 4 ignores.

I don't ignore Elliemae, though she ignores me. She can be a sarcastic and tedious booster of Obamneycare, for example, which she sees as the only way to maintain access to her chronic pills. Note that Obamneycare doesn't get her any closer to a cure, in fact that goal is likely pushed further away. Desperation can drive shortsighted advocacy and her comments can get hostile if you don't share her conclusions. That's true for many Obamneycare advocates though; they arrogate to themselves an unmerited moral authority to coerce others 'for their own good', which is a common trait encouraged by both major parties - each for their own reasons of maximizing power.

Dislike has more to do with who your persona is rather than what you say here on Patnet.

I agree, I just don't understand how people like Vincent, Tech Gromet, or John Bailo can get a dislike. I'm not suggesting that all of their post should be liked, but they've got to be most neutrally least provocative persona's here. I can't think of any thing they ever posted and though, "Gee what a crummy thing to say..."

I agree, I just don't understand how people like Vincent, Tech Gromet, or John Bilbo can get a dislike. One of those Users posted a comment that advocated violence against the President. It was unacceptable, and I Disliked that comment.

I don't agree that it's about personas. There isn't an option to Like or Dislike a particular User, though you can Friend, Unfriend, or Ignore. I answered a question about a User account that has a lot of Dislikes, and my answer has already drawn a Dislike, but I don't take that personally.

Why on earth does OP have FOUR dislikes?

Why on earth does OP have FOUR dislikes?

Dressed too provocatively and asking for it?

Starting a thread about likes/dislikes?

Some people just dislike dislikes.

Shrug.

It's a function of the forum. I dunno what's offensive or not offensive about discussing such a topic.

171   CL   2014 May 6, 7:19am

I personally tend to click a dislike on the posts that are deliberately inflammatory, obtuse or illogical. I don't dislike any based on ideology but on the merits of their points.

I suspect others might use it like monkey poop.
