Two Apps at the same time, BTW. And you don't need two OSs. It IS Ubuntu LINUX, not UbuntuMobile.

If I have to buy it from Boost mobile I will have one of those phones. I don't imagine any major carrier that carries the iPhone or a Samsung flavor of the Android, will ever carry those.

Yeah I saw that too, but so does Apple so does Google, and I'm quite sure that Internet Exploder collects data on you regardless what browser you use.
At least this an honest to goodness computer(flawed as it is) in your hands, that is not one of the big players. It's time Linux gets a shot. As this could be the introductory into Linux. I hoped that Android would have been that launchpad. But the actual underlying parts of Android that are actually Linux are hidden and locked away. And to actually get root on any of the current Google devices, voids any Warranty. There are hacks that work briefly, until the next rom update, then you lose root.
I have also been very disappointed that none of the hand held devices have a native compiler, RAD(would be nice, but just a way to manage even text file development), and packager.
I bet native development on the actual devices would not be half as convoluted that the process becomes using desk top based Applications such as Eclipse or the like. A simple blank slate that you drop controls on, choose an event and start typing in the code you want to happen when that event is reached. Let the program create all of those XML files, and routes and the many places one has to place code, route or configuration in many different files, just to display a single chunk of text. Yet you only end up with one tiny single APK file when it is compiled anyway.

I'm interested in the future, and I don't see any future in any of the current pads, phones handhelds Et cetera. I do see a future in hand held computer, as that is what any device with the power of a laptop or desktop would be. I think of iPads and those type of devices as terminals.

Yeah, RMS was pissed about the "Lens" that works between Ubuntu and Amazon.

I am not to the extreme of Stallman, but letting people know beforehand is important.

Captain, good points on Linux. I just downloaded Linux Mint earlier, I'm going to futz with it tonight, my first foray into Linux in a while.
