What was the dog afraid of? Did she sense a realtor lurking about in the shrubs?
Next time bring realtor repellent.
She was sensing coyotes around. But your comment is original and funny!
Coyotes rarely attack during the day. I've seen them carry small dogs & cats off during the night - but they're afraid of people and even larger dogs.
We have an adorable 4 year old dog named Alice. She probably weighs all of 16 pounds. She is a tiny dog but never to be underestimated. Yesterday I took her and our other dog Copernicus into the hills above our house. I let Copernicus off leash. I kept Alice on leash because she is very small and would be vulnerable to predators. During the 30 minutes that we were up in the hills, Alice stayed close to me. She remained still. Her tail stayed between her legs. I realized that she sensed some danger that both Copernicus and I were not aware of. She is really a smart dog! For thousands of years there has been a wonderful partnership between humans and dogs. One aspect of this partnership is the ability of the dog to sense danger and warn us before we humans sense it.
