My guess is 50% of the regulars here could well be psychopaths.

2   Ceffer   2014 Jan 10, 10:01am

I tried taking the test, but wound up sticking a virtual pencil in the tester's virtual eyeball.

I feel good, I couldn't be a psychopath.

If I shot somebody, and they were twitching in agony, I wouldn't let them suffer for more than twenty minutes before putting a few more rounds in them to end their misery.

3   Facebooksux   2014 Jan 10, 10:04am

36% for me.

Sorry to burst your bubble Roberta.

4   New Renter   2014 Jan 10, 10:05am

21% So much for my dreams of a career in management

Characters in history?
What about realtors, landlords, and banksters?

6   Rin   2014 Jan 10, 10:21am

This is nonsense, I got a 73% and yet, I think a lot of it had to do with liking heavy metal.

BFD, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Manowar, & old Deep Purple has nothing to do with be a psychopath but having good taste in music.

7   JodyChunder   2014 Jan 10, 10:33am

I never woulda knowed it about myself.

"You are warm and empathic with a heightened awareness of social responsibility and a strong sense of conscience. You like to carefully weigh up the pros and cons of a situation before you act and are generally averse to taking risks. You are very much a ‘people person’ and dislike conflict. ‘Do unto others…’ are your watchwords. But, although you avoid hurting others, those residing at the higher end of the psychopathic spectrum might not be as considerate, so stay vigilant to avoid being hurt unnecessarily."

Studies have shown that executives and psychopaths have a lot in common.

11   Ceffer   2014 Jan 10, 2:12pm

Had to happen sooner or later. Everybody is going to get all "more psychopathic than thou" now.

12   hrhjuliet   2014 Jan 10, 2:30pm

Proof I am not as cool as the rest of you. Not in the least bit a psychopath. Just too much a Frank Capra movie to be THAT kind of insane. I am sure I am insane, I am just not a psychopath, according to one silly test. Not a psychopath...yet. Just wait until the zombie apocalypse, I am on Mr. Shotokovich's side when that goes down. Go all River Tam on all of the scoundrels, liars and slave masters. Just you all wait.

13   mell   2014 Jan 10, 2:33pm

42% - like that number!

14   HEY YOU   2014 Jan 10, 3:39pm

Took the test several times, can't decide which score I like.

15   drew_eckhardt   2014 Jan 10, 3:43pm

I only scored 48% but feel confident I can overcome my innate limitations, crush competitors, and drive shareholder value.

Though your conscience is in the right place you also have a pragmatic streak and generally aren’t afraid to do your own dirty work! You’re no shrinking violet - but no daredevil either. You generally have little trouble seeing things from another person’s perspective but, at the same time, are no pushover. ‘Everything in moderation – including moderation’ might sum up your approach to life.

16   marcus   2014 Jan 10, 3:49pm

My score is fairly low. Although I'm not completely sure of all of my answers. That is, what I'd like to think of myself versus the truth. It's hard to know. Do I just think I would never cheat on a spouse or girlfriend ? I did once long ago, sort of.

How willing am I to step over others for my advancement ? I don't think I am, but am I sure ? What about subtle forms of this, that are the natural consequence of competition in the workplace ? I just don't know for sure.

I guess I know I'm not a psychopath, but I think some of those questions are so tough that the real score versus the one that comes from my answers could be off by at least 15 points.

17   justme   2014 Jan 10, 3:54pm

Not to anyone in particular:

A real psychopath would know whether to reveal a low or a high score, all depending on the audience.

18   justme   2014 Jan 10, 3:55pm

HEY YOU says

No no, this is not the bipolar test.

19   Ceffer   2014 Jan 10, 4:12pm

The tester said I wasn't technically a psychopath, but that my mind sucked anyway.

I think the tester is another pseudonym for Roberto.

So, not a psycho -- just a (sort of) scumbag.

I tested 15% -- I'm an out-n-out mamby pamby motherfucker.

23   Philistine   2014 Jan 11, 12:37am

Surprised nobody is calling out the UK angle from this one. The only options for news sources were "Financial Times", "The Guardian", and "HELLO" magazine. Brits have such a janky sense of humour! They purposely left out Fox News, Russian Times, and The Rachel Maddow Comedy Hour (*my* preferred educational sources).

Apparently, I'm no psychopath, just a winey asshole.

Neither featured the great Bobby Caldwell on drums, though Captain Beyond's first LP did feature Rod Evans, from Deep Purple.

Armageddon kills them all.

Unfortunately, I bet this is true. Why is it easier to take advantage of good and supposedly sane people? That could be part of the problem with our world. Maybe we should set up cultures and laws that make it harder to take advantage of well-meaning individuals? Maybe we should stop validating and rewarding psychopath behavior? Maybe we should all pretend that there is only one world to rape and destroy and only one human race to keep healthy and happy? Is it really survival of the fittest, or survival of the most defective and mutated? I think the mentally sick and destructive are the survivors in our modern culture. I would certainly be more "successful" if I had screwed people over and did some good old fashion stealing, or even better enslaving. I guess there is only power and those to weak to seek it. I am kind and therefore weak, so me and my offspring certainly deserve to die or be enslaved.
