Republicans are fuming after outgoing Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius declined to testify on her own departments 2015 budget request before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee on Wednesday.  According to Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., the secretary skipped the hearing not due to a scheduling problem, but because "she doesn't want to" testify.

LOL wingnuts are sooo cute when they are told to be outraged.

Bush, Cheney refuse to testify under oath over 9-11

Bush and Cheney did not testify before the panel -- they were not under oath and there was to be no recording made of the session nor a stenographer in the room.

The two members of the White House counsel's staff were expected to take notes during the session, and the commission members were also allowed to take handwritten notes.

Bush brushed off a question from a reporter Thursday on whether 9/11 families were entitled to a transcript of the session.

"You asked me that question yesterday," Bush replied. "I got the same answer."

And, yes, I realize that Bush and Cheney were being asked to explain why they failed to keep Americans safe on 9-11, and that today we face the far weightier issue of a shitty website.

Most conservatives don't think it's wrong to begin with: Recall any conservatives outraged by the Bush/Cheney refusal to testify?

But now that it's a Dem-crat, it's an outrage, apparently.

This incosistency and "double standard" can be easily explained. In Crime and Punishment, Raskolnikov presented a theory on extraordinary people - they guide humanity, have permission to overcome moral obstacles and are not subject to the standard that the mass rabble that only serve to reproduce and serve the state are subject to. Cheney believed that he was "extraordinary" by aswering "so what" about iraq campaign when informed that many americans opposed it. Sebellius on the other hand is a member of ordinary rabble and if she believes herself to be extraordinary, in a way she has false "class consciousness."

It's probably one of the greatest crimes to mankind, that Obama can get an award for simply "Being". But there's not nary a merit of recognition for an outstanding post such as this!

Bush and Cheney were not responsible for 9/11, but Sebelius is responsible for the Obamacare system.

If you believe that that is a great crime against humanity, you are a partisan hack.

If we didn't have the two party system she would have been out of a job. There is no defending that.

If you're referring to the idiotic Nobel Prize he received for not being Bush, then you're full of shit. That was simple stupidity, not "one of the greatest crimes to mankind."

Were you outraged when Both Clinton and Gore refused to testify under oath to 9/11 panel? Did you even know about that?

Clinton and Gore met separately, and were recorded. Bush had Cheney sit next to him (why???) and were not recorded, transcribed, nor under oath.

Besides, Clinton and Gore were no longer in office, and were accused of "wagging the dog" when they went after Bin Laden/AQ. Bush et al did nothing to maintain the anti-terror activities that Clinton had pushed, probably because he believed his own lies when he ran against Clinton.

Sebelius is responsible for "Obamacare?" Not the Senate & Congress that voted it into being?

I blame Obama because I have a paper cut. If Obamacare hadn't been enacted, I wouldn't have been reading that newspaper article about it.
