I'm trying to get at his motivations in terms of sexuality and society in general.
Are you really? It doesn't seem that way. It seems more like you've committed to a position, probably before reading the link, and you don't want to walk away from it now.

I've seen the chart, I don't see how that changes the nature of his postings?
A 21 year old man, without training under some adept/master, cannot simply eliminate his sexuality w/o some sort of backlash, internally. Now that years have past, you see the outrage in a more visceral way.
TOB went to war against his Devil Inside (homosexuality) long before 21, more like 12. His obsession with homosexuality in general and older guys in particular started around then, and yes it created visceral outrage that causes him now to troll. Unless a pimply 12yo can afford male esc*rts in Phoenix, your method would not have saved him.
But what would you say to my brother-in-law, married to my own flesh and blood sister?
I wasn't going to say this before, but since you brought the issue up specifically, I must. You never betray your flesh and blood. She is your sister. Her husband is nothing to you. I don't care what she does, she is your flesh and blood and you are ALWAYS on her side. Perhaps it's an Italian thing, but I wouldn't betray my brothers over some woman they are married to for anything in the world --- I DON'T CARE WHAT MY BROTHERS DO. They will always have my loyalty first. (That doesn't mean that I wouldn't give my brothers my two cents, but that's done privately.)

I can say one thing ... if I'd dropped sexuality at 21, I would have become like TOB, angry about society all of the time.
That's simply too early in life.
Instead, I'd soldiered on, until I'd found some peace, starting at 29, when I'd started focusing on my own development and separating this concept of romantic love (soulmate-itis) from my own bodily needs.

Ok TurtleDove, you'd lost me here. My sister is the most entitled b*tch I'd ever known.
Give me a break, she hadn't worked in 20 years, drinks all the time, and treats everyone like they're her vassals.
All right, you've now exposed yourself. You don't know anything.
I would have become like TOB....
Really?!? There are missionaries, nuns, priests, who take vows of celibacy around 21, and some even honor those vows, but most of them don't become racist trolls obsessed with homosexuality. I was finding it difficult to understand why you were making excuses for TOB, but your latest comment does shed a different light on it. I thought you were merely attached to a position, but perhaps I was mistaken.

Of course, you're looking to take me down, just like TurtleDove with my sister.
I don't care what she does, she is your flesh and blood and you are ALWAYS on her side
That's right, hurting and eventually killing ppl, is ok with you?
Are you are part of a Mario Puzo novel, here?
you're looking to take me down,
No, I'm just trying to understand your comments. It was the same when I tried to ask you a question, why you had switched from one idea to another, and you mistook that as an attack too. Maybe it's the martial arts things, you spend too much time fighting so you see everything as a fighting arena, IDK. You are dogged though, so I'll let you have the last word again rather than wasting more time on you. Just understand, I don't have anything against you personally, I'm not looking to "take [you] down", I was only trying to understand incomprehensible comments that you posted on the Interwebs making excuses for a racist misogynist homophobic closeted troll.
I'm not making excuses for TOB, I just understand clearly, that men get very angry, when they repress their sexuality for years. That's not a great mystery.

anything.
Doesn't matter. You don't openly side with someone outside the family over someone inside your family. That doesn't mean you have to like your sister. Several years ago, my brother cheated on his wife and they ended up getting divorced. Was I proud of my brother? Did I think he acted in the best interest of his children? That would be a NO to both. I told him as much. But never, under any circumstances, did I say a bad word about him to his ex-wife or side with her over him. He's my brother and he will always be my brother. I don't admire his behavior, but I love him and he has my loyalty before anyone else.
I hear what you are saying, I just object to the very idea that you would discuss your sister to your brother-in-law. Talk to your sister. That's fine. Tell her what you think. That's what a good brother does. Betray her to her husband... Not so much.
All right, you've now exposed yourself. You don't know anything.
I know what it means to be loyal to my family. As I've stated above, I put that first.

This is scary. Is it a family run by a don?
Really?!? There are missionaries, nuns, priests, who take vows of celibacy around 21, and some even honor those vows, but most of them don't become racist trolls obsessed with homosexuality.
Well... some honor. Some pursue kids. Some bang each other endlessly.
There's no doubt, however, that Bankster really needs to get on Grindr and get some action. The only other person I met with such a high level of vitriol and fascination for homosexuality was a repressed gay.

@ Turtledove.
How has "Rin" betrayed his family? By publicly - but anonymously - airing his sister's personality issues? He has not listed his sister's personal contact information here - she could be anyone of hundreds of thousands of married American women. Do you know exactly who his sister is? Could you even find her Facebook page?
For that matter do you even know who "Rin" is? "Rin" is a pseudonym, presumably not our friend's real name. "Rin" has stated time and time again that this forum is where he comes to vent his frustrations (and maybe, must maybe get some help). That is the purpose of this forum, although it has deviated from its original subject of complaining about the real estate industry.
As to blood vs marriage family loyalty here's a silly question for you:
If your brother needed a kidney and your husband was a perfect match, would hubby end up in a bath of ice and a nasty scar?
If your brother needed a kidney and your husband was a perfect match, would hubby end up in a bath of ice and a nasty scar?
I once had a discussion with my philosophy professor on utilitarianism. He asked what if the greater good means I have to offer one kidney to him. I countered that I could simply choose to be immoral. We both laughed.
nope dont feel 'repressed', curious2 is just some angry person who attacks whomever raises points she doesnt like. As I mentioned these topics tend to get women angry- the subject matter itself unsettles them.
heres a thought experiment
if you really examine the 'ideal', the 'myth' that is inside both men and woman's heads - as in the ideal existence that they are trying to live up to. you will see something different in each.
the woman will see a totally committed man who never leaves or never judges and is always there to PROVIDE.
men have a different myth, they want to 'strike it rich' and have many young beautiful women.
thus we know that the drives of men and women not only are different they dont coincide with each other- they are mutually incompatible. we know therefore that theoretically this 'love' thing is something selfish, contrary to how women want to portray it, as some 'soul mate' nonsense. 'love' is very simply a instinctual function that women attempt to perfume with all sorts of niceties to make it appear as though it's something magnanimous, beautiful, and wonderful. Women will spin unbelievably complex theories and explanations for why it is so wonderful, actually that is the chief function of their brains. Statistically we know this is not in the least bit true, some are foolish enough to believe it's true for some few lucky people, as though we are at a casino and hoping to be that lucky one who hits the jackpot and wins this 'true love' thing that will last for a lifetime- or an eternity? its so far fetched and impossible it's hard to really even think that we believe it at all.
the knowledgeable will determine and eventually accept that the entire thing is an illusion that is preventing us from obtaining the truth, a massive deception that we must use our rational mind to penetrate in order to live fully. It's a conclusion few come to and while it's been consistent historically has never been popular at any moment in history.

In 'The Graduate', Dustin Hoffman portrayed a very bored kid, from an upper middle class household on the west coast. He had nothing to do all day and his only plan in life was to perhaps, attend graduate school. Ok, so the setup was already retarded because if it were my parents, they would have tossed me out of the house if I were sloven like that. Instead of that, I was fully employed at an R&D company as a junior research engineer.
Then, a gorgeous married woman, Anne Bancroft, offered him straight sex without any associated relationship. Dustin Hoffman got to bo*nk a beautiful woman, completely free of charge and headaches. All she asked in return was that he kept away from her immediate family, nothing else.
And that, a very simple request, he couldn't do because he was an entitled boomer d*ck, who thought that society's rules didn't apply to him. Sure, if he could bo*nk the mom, why not the daughter?
Well, in the end, he'd ruined that family and started a fight in a church (granted, that piece was funny). And in end, everyone in the audience knew that Catharine Ross and him would divorce anyways, since they really didn't have anything in common besides rebelling against their parents.
If it were me, I'd still be bo*nking Anne, as I would have stopped dating most women in my age bracket anyways. Then, if I could get her interested, I'd see if she wanted to perhaps try a threesome with a Montreal gal.
That's my version of 'Rin, the Graduate'
