When companies engage in collective bargaining they are charged with the crime of collusion. The same should happen to labor.

It's good to know that there aren't any R/C/Ts part of any Big Govt. Redistribution programs. I was about to call R/C/Ts, freeloading hypocrites. I should have remembered that the they believe in "personal responsibility" & would never accept handouts in any form even if their children were hungry. They would never accept a govt. job or join a union because they believe in free market enterprise & that they can make it on their own & create high paying jobs for other true believers. It's too bad everyone doesn't have that quality of character.

That is like saying stealing from your employer is okay because the market place gets rid of companies who are handicapped with employee theft.

In an ideal world, employees should be more like independent contractors. Both sides get some flexibility.

A universal healthcare system will be necessarily in that world.

No, the market place will simply work around unaccountability, creating chaos While I prefer less regulation, I also favor order over chaos.

That said, concepts like job security and income predictability are bad for both employers and employees.

The very definition of the market prevents that from happening.

Don't these creeps jack up their pension by working overtime too. Then you wonder so many are incarcerated-how else can they justify this pay.

For firemen and police they also claim workers comp and go out on disability which has the added plus of not paying tax on their pensions from that point on.

It's NJ. Just about every rep is democrat in this state. The Port Authority is a joke police department that mans the tolls/bridges. They raise them each year and this is where the money goes. It's always been known that these jobs are only for friends and family of political figures in NJ. No one gets hired there without a phone call from the right people. You look at the demographics of the politicians in Bergen/Hudson county and you do the math.
