A lot of people are aware that third-world countries still need Internet access. That’s why there’s Facebook’s sometimes controversial Internet.org. What not a lot of people are aware of is that one out of every four people living in the U.S. don’t have Internet at home.

Does using someone else s unsecured wireless count as home internet?

I did that until a couple of years ago when the last of the cheap bastard neighbors figured out how to password protect their wireless routers. Even the big antenna could not find a loop close enough to me to work.

In my neighborhood somepeople still use WEP, which is close enough to call unsecured. They also NEVER change their passwords!

How big an antenna were you using? What power level does your wireless card use? My card has a txpower level of 30. I'm thinking of getting one of those amplifiers so I can so from 1W to 5W of power.

If I could crack WPA, I could be set for years!

I hope so.

ASSHOLES!

They probably do the same with their cars so no one can use it. Makes me sick.
