Did you ever notice "They" never mention automation and immigration together in context?
If we're going to automate most of the entry level service jobs, why do we need immigrants? All the displaced native McDonald's employees replaced by robots and kiosks can be Baby Boomer butt wipers.

That would be quit a sight to see a bunch of 72 year olds running a McDonalds.
I don't think the service would be as annoying as atleast they will be 72 years old, instead of just working like they are.
I don't think the consumer would notice much.
Ass munching robots? Boomfucks get all the breaks.
Put on a nice, scratchy, warped vinyl record, break out the robot, and drift off in a nostalgic trance.

No, I mean wiping the asses of Baby Boomers. Pretty soon most of them will forget the lyrics of "Born to Be Wild", and have conversations with their nursing assistants as if they are their brother Joe back in 1955 riding their bikes in Levittown.

I dunno, many of us DO notice when service gets better, the orders are correct and the help is pleasant to the customers. Those under the age of 40 don't know what customer service really is.
94 million is about the size of Canada's population.
Didn't know Canada added 61 million people since 2011 census.

As of 1 January 2015, the population of Canada was estimated to be 35 589 809 people. This is an increase of 0.79 % (280 707 people) compared to population of 35 309 102 the year before. In 2014 the natural increase was positive, as the number of births exceeded the number of deaths by 81 211. Due to external migration, the population increased by 199 496. The sex ratio of the total population was 0.985 (985 males per 1 000 females) which is lower than global sex ratio.

"His desperation has not yet turned to anger. Not yet."
"Did I mention there are at least 94 million of him?"
