I work at the port. I've had issues with chronic bronchitis ever since starting here. There's always been a lot of unidentified dust blowing around here. But four years ago my terminal got one of those street sweeper machines to sweep the tterminal on a regular basis. Also the diesel yard trucks have wen replaced with gasoline powered ones. And the aging outside trucker fleet has been forced to upgrade to newer, cleaner models. My lungs have been much, much better. Now, when I get a cold, I don't have to endure the inevitable jump straight to bronchitis and possibly pneumonia. Gone are the days of steroids and stabbing pains in my chest.

Clean air is worth it.

Life is worth it.
