In March 2013, a group of 40 scientists from Harvard Medical School were invited by biologist David Sinclair to the dining room of the upmarket Catalyst restaurant in Bostons Kendall Square. Sinclair had deliberately chosen the location, and the alcohol being served. Kendall Square has the greatest concentration of biotechnology companies in the world and the restaurants name reflected the discovery they were celebrating the age-extending qualities of a compound hidden in a glass of red wine.
