"Western Illinois University (WIU) has correctly prognosticated each president since 1975, and it's got some ideas about next year's contest, too. According to the university's mock election, the 45th president of the United States will be Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders"

Isn 't this more an indicator of how far left the college crowd has moved, given their propensity for denying free speech and legitimate reporting?

Hasn't the college crowd always been to the left? And these guys have predicted every race since 1975.

Yes, but to the degree that exists today?

Yep, I believe so. Have you seen any historical footage of college campuses in the late 1960s?

Could be right. Sanders is a much more decent and righteous guy than Trump. Maybe voters will see that and decide for him. At this point I can't rule anything out in a contest between the two. Trump is about equally adored and hated. Sanders is pretty soundly hated by the GOP folks and hardcore conservatives, but adored by the leftmost wing of democrats.

Hillary is looking ever more the joke, and I don't think she can win the nomination without serious manipulation. Her attempts to distance herself from our Dear Leader have been too little, too late, and she has a serious image problem among everyone who's not a radical feminist.

I don't see anyone beating Trump for the GOP nomination. Not unless he does something truly unforgivable and pisses off his constituency, which still seems possible, but would only take a modicum of political insight to avoid. I think discounting him as a sideshow (as the Whitehouse has done) disregards the will of a majority of the voters who are completely exasperated with the business as usual on the Hill. Sending off our jobs to China, gutting our industrial and scientific ability, and bringing in ever larger hordes of undesirable aliens to do what work there is left here for cheaper is a sure recipe for voter anger.
Honestly, it's not a racial issue. It's an economic one, and in the case of the Muslims, it's a deep distrust of any culture/religion that says all unbelievers must convert or die.

My recollection of the 1960's college protestors is that they were composed primarily of wealthier resident students and was not reflective of the majority of students, and certainly not the less wealthy commuter students. But they got the press coverage.

Not sure what you're smoking. The people that put their money behind their opinion have casued the odds to be in the neighborhood of 10:1 that Hillary wins the nomination.

For anyone with a clue, it's more like: I can't see how she can NOT win the nomination.

But yeah, a Bernie Sanders, Dnald Trump race would be interesting.

And do you really want the people with all the money running everything about the country again? Seems like that would be antithetical to the true libbie-mclibstein that you try to be. Perhaps you should examine your tenuous and conflicting belief structure again for the Swiss cheese that it is.

Its hilarious when people cite gambling odds , as if theyre reflective of how anything will actually pan out. The same books that were giving out Philly +385 last Sunday prior to kickoff, offered up +315 at HT, of a tie game. Free money

Hillary is about -120 to become the next president.

But you probably cant even name one shop where you can legally wager on this in the states. And even legit overseas outlets have very small limits, so its a worthless market.

What is the again part? It's been going on since 1776.

I think we can stop with the Polls, there aint NOBODY and I mean NOBODY who's got the numbers anywhere near Trump.
Here's the thing, while there still might be people who question Trumps methods, only because all of the broadcasters have shamed into reflecting on their racism rather than Trumps substance vs what we've had for the last 30 years. These guys are all quick to throw up what Sheppard Smith said, and what Obama said about Trump.

But do you know what I'm not hearing?

Any of these exact same people, saying who they are voting for.

This Libshame has come full circle, now it's popular to try to Shame people who openly admit they are voting for Trump.
But I'm here to put it to you, that 65% of those same Trump shamers, plan on voting for Trump.
They don't hate Trump, they hate you saying you like Trump.

It's like the early adopter iPhone user. He knows what a cool phone the iPhone is, he had one since 2007 since they first came out. Then Apple releases iPhone 20, and then a bunch of new Johnny come lately come along and start singing the praises of the iPhone. Those originally fanboys, just hates to hear those Johnny come lately iPhone adopters singing the praises of iPhone.
Of course iPhone is bad ass you Moron! Shut up... then they go back to fiddling with his iPhone.

These guys are and will be voting for Trump. There is no alternative. They just wish there were alternative Voters.

They've been conditioned to hate us, regardless who's running for office and their message.

Hang in there Kids! You'll start to feel better once President Trump gets in office.

From Oct. 23rd 2007:

"Gallup’s 2007 national presidential polling strongly points to Clinton winning the 2008 Democratic nomination. Barring something unusual or otherwise unexpected, she is well positioned for the 2008 Democratic primaries. Obama has not been an insignificant rival: he came within single digits of tying Clinton for the lead at two points this spring. But he has recently lost ground and is now in the weakest position relative to Clinton that he has been in all year.

No other announced or potential Democratic candidate has come close to threatening Clinton’s front-runner status since the campaign began, including former Vice President Al Gore and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards"

This would be good news for funeral services bottom lines.

I don't think you understand what I was saying. I wasn't talking about what I want or what I think. Just stating facts that contradict your view of Hillary's chances.

People gamble on who is going to win the nomination, and the perceived probability (reflected by actual bets that have actually been made and are currently being made), have Hillary 10:1 to win the nomination. That means there are people willing to bet $1000 to win $100 if Hillary wins. If you were right that Hillary is going to have a hard time getting the nomination, then TAKE THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT BET !!

But you won't, because you're just talking.

Let's make it 11/11

11:11

18   anonymous   2016 May 11, 9:33am

Fast forward to today, here's how i see it

We have a leftist candidate in Sanders being willed by the people, but shunned by the supposed leftist party, the democrats

We have a centrist candidate in Trump, being willed by the people, but shunned by the heinous GOP

We have a right wing dingbat in Clinton, being shunned by the people, save for the low information voters captured by the DNC, being pushed down our throats 24/7 by the hated ownership class and their underling lackeys in the media and the dem superdelegates and their ilk.

It's been a fun race, for once, and likely to get better over the next six weeks. We should all thank Trump, for destroying the POS GOP as we knew it. He spared us another cycle of continuous crap about abortions, God, and lowering taxes for prosperity that Roboto Rubio was so well versed and ready to regurgitate like the Republican broken record of the last four decades.

We should all thank Sanders as well, for speaking truth to the issues at the heart of this country. For standing up to the ownership class that has all but destroyed our Republic. For giving us an actual liberal to vote for, and for posing solutions to the most pressing problems facing our nation. He's given a voice to Labor in this country that is long overdue, and my favorite, he has exposed the Democrats for what they really are; a bunch of phony baloney frauds, who have only ever been full of hot air.

And Hillary. There's nothing much to thank her for. What has she done? Lies, lies, and more lies. The last debate, she said she would release the transcripts of her paid "speeches" to her buddies that will dictate her policies over at GS. What's taking so long?

The most important thing in life? I can't tell if you are being serious.

I always thought that the most important thing in life, is to find happiness, in continuing to learn and stoke curiosity, with the greatest potential for experience(s).
