And the Democratic Party, by abandoning the White Working Class and embracing Clinton-Blair Third Way Neoliberalism.

And the Democratic Party, by abandoning the White Working Class

This brings up the classic wagon and horse problem because it can just as easily be argued that white working class abandoned the democratic party. Ultimately, organizations respond to incentives and when groups are taken for granted (whether they oppose or support you), you don't have to compete for them. And besides, analogy would be if an entitled millenial lives at home with parents who provide food and shelter for them and all they hear is snarly rebellion and statements like "go to hell, hope you die, f%^& off", eventually the parents will run out of patience in most cases and kick them out of the house. Something similar may have ocurred with democratic party and white working class.

No white non-Democrat voter can possibly be held responsible for his life choices, or how he votes.

Democrats physically forced all of them to vote for Trump, as if at gunpoint.

Any racism, ignorance of economics, and ignorance of the coming crispy-hot Earth among working-class whites is totally the fault of the Democratic party. No conservative voter possesses anything resembling free will.

It's more simple than that. They created Trump when they thought they could amuse people with religion and gay marriages while selling laws to corporations.
They created Trump when they simply decided to write off half the population.

Good video.

Thunderlips, what bothers you about the video? You like Trump, right? Are you bothered that his ideas are basically recycled establishment ideas with new emphasis?

Let's see, Reason is a CATO-like Randroid Free-Trade Open-Borders Low-Wages borderline Anarcho-Capitalist extremist group.

Can some of Establishment positions apply to Hillary?

Hillary hates civil liberties, has nothing but vitriol for Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. Repeat Patriot Act enabler.

Hillary has plenty of war boners. Has supported every military action since she arrived in the Senate; and indeed long before that in Yugoslavia to help the Grandsons of the Ustache and the Saudi Backed Bosniak Muslim Terrorists. Just like she helped Al Qaeda groups in Libya and Syria (the bulk of the "Anti-Ghaddafyi" and "Anti-Assad" Rebels).

Hillary, John McCain, and Lindsay Graham have equally been the biggest hawks in Government this Century. Notice they all hate Trump.

For Free Traitors opposed to Protecting American Workers, Hillary has supported every free trade deal that has come down the pike.

Finally, the both Clintons' entire political career is based on outflanking from the Right - and exploiting racial divisions.

Who are the rabid neocons endorsing? Those most in favor of Surveillance State, Massive Military Intervention, One-sided Free Trade, Outsourcing? They're all #NeverTrump. They've burned their Republican Registrations and have praised Hillary.

"Bring them to Heel!"

7   Heraclitusstudent   2016 May 5, 4:57pm

That's exactly right. You could say on the surface the themes are similar, as they are pandering to the same voters. Except the goals are different. The republican establishment (together with the democrats) is 100% corporatism. They mostly don't give a shit what happens to half the population, or even the US, or even the planet as long as share holder value is created. All they want is the votes. Trump is grain of sand in this machinery.

Romney, even if he pays lip service to trade, would never do anything that could even have a remote chance of disrupting trade with China.
Trump totally would - which is why they are livid now.

Kerry called him one also... as did McCain, Boehner, all the assholes.

There's only one reason for this.

The GOP fucked up!

Had the Democrat party had Ralph Nader on the ticket in 2000 he would have went on to beat GW. Bush.

The Independent voter base has been waiting a long time for this.

After the dismal lost Nader suffered in 2000. I just gave up and quit watching or even following the news after Nader lost, until 911.

Not a single person told me in 2000 that Gore was better, they just said Nader don't stand a chance to win, because they were just too Chicken Shit to stand up and vote for someone they believed in.

Trump isn't doing a Goddamned thing! The voters are having thier say that's all. We got a man in a real party with real rules to use against them.
...

Like I said. The GOPe Fucked up.

Good video. The alternative seems to be a radical feminist SJW with an a best shaky background filled with the continuous scent of corruption, and it is not all FOX news creation. The up side is what Tenpoundbass seems to be saying- do away with the two party cartel and bring in viable third parties. I understand there is often difficultly obtaining consensus in countries with a multiparty system, but we do not seem very good at consensus anymore either. Honestly the differences between Spendicans and Taxacrats is illusory at best. Well conservatives, and the rest of the country made our bed, now its time to fitfully sleep in it.

15   HydroCabron   2016 May 6, 6:48am

Hilliary, with her mediocre ideas in foreign policy and her sober, dull it's-my-turn careerism, is every bit as bad as someone who believes we should try to negotiate down the national debt through partial repayment of treasury securities and said Ted Cruz's dad helped kill JFK.

Both sides are the same. It's always such a tough choice.

The problem with the Dems is they moved to the right so they could win some elections and now they're too moderate. But, there are a lot of Dems who ARE different.

It's very maddening that people come on here saying both parties are the same. Pick any important vote of the last 20 years and let's see how each party's members voted. Seriously-pick anything. And let's see if both parties are really the same.

The problem is that the voters rejected liberal Dems sometime in the 80s and the country has paid for it for 30 years.

(edit: Clinton is not one of the Dems that are different, though)

17   anonymous   2016 May 6, 7:15am

You guys are right, i can see why you are voting for Clinton. Shes a woman, so it is her turn.

And its merely coincidence that the hated Kochs, the republican establishment, and every Republican that goes #nevertrump because hes too liberal, are excited to vote for Hillary. Its because she is most fit to lead! She has the solutions, and most importantly, only she is a true democrat fit to carry out the will of the people, and subvert the evil right wing corporations

Yes, but, as you can infer by the Superdelegates, it's the Neoliberal Clinton wing that controls the party and the Congressional votes.

The only way you can stop this is to discipline the party by making it known that neoliberal Democrats lose nominations and elections, THEN it will change. Until then the corporate donations are too good to pass up, and besides, they use the old line, whatcha gonna do, vote Republican?

Hillary so far has assiduously avoided making any firm concessions to the Progressive wing; in fact she flopped in just weeks, going from "I'm a proud centrist/moderate" angle to (try not to barf) "I'm a progressive". Her goal is to obtain the nomination without having to make any clear promises to the Progressive base, so she's not required to actually push for anything progressive if she wins. Just vague "We'll review that. We'll try to tinker with that." statements that require her to do nothing about those issues.
