Republican Donald Trump has sparked anger by suggesting his supporters could stop his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton by exercising their gun rights. He said that Mrs Clinton would put liberal justices on the Supreme Court if she wins the presidency in November, threatening gun ownership rights. Speaking at a rally in North Carolina, Mr Trump hinted that gun rights advocates could stop her taking power. That sparked an online backlash, many accusing him of inciting violence. But his campaign team said he was actually talking about getting gun rights supporters to the ballot box to enact change politically. The remarks...

The hilarious thing is that these kinds of headlines only firm up the Trump base, but make no anti-Trump converts.

Even though Hillary campaigned against Obama in 2008 as if she was "Annie Oakley"

Trump is as right as rain.

There's a political revolution afoot in the developed world brought about by 28 years of unfettered, crushing-the-middle-class, globalization; whether that revolution ends at the ballot box or by ammo box depends on events still developing.

Globalization, massive debt, insanity in terms of foreign war policy, exponential growth in government employees (federal, state and local), regulatory overload, social engineering, and the rampant growth in breeding-dependency-on-government-dole/entitlement-programs-politics is setting the table for a true recolution.

Of course I think Trump is a reckless asshole, and if someone takes a shot at Hillary, Trump should be prosecuted for inciting violence. In the mean time, I hope he just lost a few thousand voters.
It honestly doesn't seem like he is trying to win anymore. It looks to me like he is trying to shore up his fan base, rather than build broad support. That will be a great brand for him after he loses. I'm interested to see what he does with it.

I'm making fun of the Donald saying, if we can't use nukes, why are we making them.

Plus, Clinton said she short circuited the argument which is an odd turn of phrase, but was of course not what trump said she said. Just another lie from the master.

Hillary mentioned "Assassination" several times in the context of why she wouldn't quit the 2008 nomination race until the end. Caused quite a ruckus at the time:

I think we know exactly what Hillary meant:
"Nice nominee you got there... sure would be a shame if anything happened to him."
Awfully big-hearted of her to be willing to stick around through August, just in case....
http://www.slate.com/blogs/blogs/xxfa...

She's Sorry Again
I'm not saying she literally hopes he dies soon. (Plus, she's apologized, so case closed, right?) But Hillary didn't mean what she said this time just like she wasn't exactly shouting out to hardworking white people, and Bill didn't quite say Jesse equals Barack, and her surrogates never meant to push the whole image of him as a druggie in the 'hood, and she never meant to reanimate the whole highly racial Jeremiah Wright hoo-ha by saying—gosh darn the timing, just as things were dying down—that he woulda never been her pick for pastor. But either Hillary Clinton is one smart, savvy, and occasionally even on-message politician—in which case she is well aware of what it means to reference the possible assassination of a black leader in this country—or she isn't and doesn't. It can't be both.

Don Lemon on CNN, Hillary ass-licker extraordinaire, is making me physically ill.

Don Lemon should wear an "I'm With Shillary" t-shirt while on-air at all times.

There are few "journalists" reporting facts today, which is sad. Instead, we have have ClintonNewsNetwork and the likes of surrogate for Hillary "news anchor" Don Lemon giving maximum effort to twist, torture and murder truth, and create an unbelievable pro-Hillary narrative using a cable "news" network as his platform.

But his campaign team said he was actually talking about getting gun rights supporters to the ballot box to enact change politically. The remarks...

So he didn't actually say(or suggest) that or hint at anything.

What he said was this:

Trump said at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Tuesday that if Clinton gets to pick federal judges as president, there is nothing that can be done to protect the right to bear arms.

But then he adds without elaboration that maybe supporters of the Second Amendment could figure out a way.

“By the way if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know,” Trump said.

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/08/09/trump-clinton-second-amendment/

As an aside I've always thought those that advocate "international news" to be a bit looney. For instance the BBC has been insanely anti Israel for about 25 years which is the polar opposite of unbiased journalism. In this case BBC directly makes a false reporting.

Secondly, even if Trump did make such a suggestion, the 2nd ammendment is there precisely so that the citizenry can oppose a tyranny.

"What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms."
- Thomas Jefferson, letter to James Madison, December 20, 1787

And if silencing opponents via dubious prosecution...if removing first ammendment speech protections isn't tyranny, I don't know what is:

Schneiderman spokesman Eric Soufer said Tuesday that the latest document reveals nothing new in that the attorneys general have already made public their support for Mr. Obama’s climate initiatives.
“We’ve been very vocal about defending the Obama administration’s Clean Power Plan,” Mr. Soufer said. “In fact, our broad based support and amicus brief in support of the plan was the basis of the March 29 press conference, so I don’t really get how a pro forma letter inviting others to join us — as multiple AGs did — is surprising or new.”
Craig Richardson, E&E Legal Institute executive director, said the letter “makes inescapable the fact that the AGs’ goal was to defend and extend Obama’s environmental agenda.”
“That is a political cause, which the AGs seek to extend by improper means, circumventing the proper, democratic political process,” Mr. Richardson said in a statement.

Trump should not have said that , and now trying to spin it. But what about the iranian scientist who was executed after his name was revealed in the unlcassified server/email fiasco, the NSA spy whose name was revealed, the jihadi dad who had front row seat?? Nope, no outrage over that-Trump said something off handed-lets hang him.

Thanks L&C--there's at least one person who hasn't completely lost their minds in their Trump adoration. The level that some of the other posters on here go to try and defend the undefendable is astounding. Trump was right--he literally could kill someone and CIC, dodgerfan, et. al would come on here saying the guy had it coming. Followed by Nuttboxer posting that Hillary had 3 people killed so he'd rather vote for the guy who only killed one guy instead of the woman that killed 3.

What he said was fine. The issue comes up when retards like Tatty want to take ONE sentence out of context instead of listening to the multiple paragraphs of his complete statement.

OK, post the multiple paragraphs then. Prove me wrong by showing the context that I missed. (just kidding. I know you won't do that)

Trump came out later on Hannity and had to explain his statement in easy, 1st grade language so low information voters like Tatty, Roberta, Marcus and YesYNot can understand them.

It's called spin. And it fooled nobody except for the hard core Trumpeteers.

Trump speaks in 1st grade language. Seriously, I expect my kid to use more complex language by 5 than Trump uses at the rallies. We don't know if his language is just sloppy or calculated, but it often follows the pattern laid out in this front page article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/from-trumps-controversial-words-a-pattern-outrage-headlines-and-then-denial/2016/08/09/4feadec0-5e71-11e6-8e45-477372e89d78_story.html

The lamestream media cartel is FREAKING OUT that Donald Trump made a casual joke about Second Amendment unity during a campaign rally on Tuesday.

Wait a second. Now it's a casual joke?? I though it was "obvious" that he was simply telling gun owners to vote?? Which is it CIC?

And the MSM rightly distinguishes between idiots on twitter and someone running to be President of the most powerful country on Earth. To even make that comparison is ridiculous.

30   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2016 Aug 10, 8:14am

This issue is blatantly obvious. No one with a public following like Drumpf should say something that could be interpreted as suggesting that one of those crazy followers kill a sitting president. In this case, the proper interpretation was that he suggested just that. Any attempt to explain what he meant relies on us believing that Trump would never suggest such a terrible thing, so he must have misspoke. He didn't just cross the goal line, he passed it and ran right through the endzone.

And of course what you want in a president is someone who can't control their mouth, and says things nearly every single day that have to be disavowed...
